After years of wanting an AAW, I finally bought one. I bought the medium to use with my 600w. I have 3-600w for flowering, 400w for veg, 150w for mothers(12), 14w, for clones. I refuse to use ac and co2 because of greenhouse gas emissions. Anyways, I hooked up the reflector last night during the dark and came back this morning to see how it's doing. I have a 7200k mh bulb in the middle of 2 hortilux(hps-mh-hps). The AAW replaced my only batwing, the other 2 are yield master 2 supreme. First off, I did not buy the spreader, seeing how every North American grower hates them. Although I do own one and the Equalizer. Which is a far better replacement than the super spreader. The garden size is also, 4x13. This reflector is Awesomesauce!! I can clearly see the mh influence across 5ft and less influence to a full 7ft! The "dim" spot I notice is something that I learned when I did a vert grow, there is no actual dim spot, it's actually direct light versus reflected light+direct light, so it appears dim but it's not. The reflector is only hot about 6" on either side everywhere else is cool to the touch. Under the reflector I had to move it to 12" a full 6" lower than I can get my yield master 2's. This is exceeding my expectations and I'm going to keep an eye for the rest of the grow but will probably be dropping the dough for 2 more after this experiment is done. On another note: these seem to work great for MY conditions but maybe not for yours, so take everything with a grain of salt. Harvest is still 7 weeks away, we will see if my 47,000 lumen mh will do against the venerable hortilux and yield master2. Plus I love flowering under the lower kelvin(3000-4200) MH bulbs, way frostier, denser, and potent overall. Ican run less watts per square foot than hps and get the same density........update whenever I get to it.
