Additives

I'm not one to fall for the marketing hype of big companies like AN. Using their nutrient calculator to see roughly where I should be on my pH Perfect Micro - Grow - Bloom base nutes I noticed they have hobbyist, expert, Professional, and Grand Master grow levels. Each one including more and more additives for you to use.

Which additives are absolutely recommended and which can you get by without?

Also, open to alternatives to the AN line.

A quick search for this topic on the forums was bringing up stuff from 2010-2012 so sorry to bring up a topic that has no doubt been talked about many times.

Looking for more up-to-date info. Thanks.

AN Is a rip off with 15 different bottles..
I like dry ferts like Maxibloom for kiss style grows with liquid seaweed, silica and a DiY sweet raw I found here.

However I'm lazy now and do super soil organic with the sweet raw. Love just adding water only and no tweaking water before dropping.

I best expensive boosters I used:
Bloombastic, cannaboost, Pk 13/14, phosphoload, bud blood, great white plus a couple more I can't remember (would need to pull that feed schedule up)at the same time stacked, it's a fuxin expensive stack too.

Yeah, I'm not trying to take a loan out just to get additives.

I was thinking of just getting

Voodoo Juice
B-52
Overdrive
Big Bud

Was just curious if there was anything else I should absolutely consider getting?

I'm not familiar with super soil or sweet raw or dry additives. This is a first grow and were ready to make the flip so a little late to try and change things.

I used AN full line once just like a lot of people here did.

Those are good to add, I would add bud factor x, rhinoskin if in the budget.

That sheet just costs too much. ;-)

If your dead set on their stuff I’d do only the grow and bloom with great white. Great white would be more beneficial then all the other junk they sell just like 99% of the water bottle companies. While I use megacrop now I always had good luck with roots organic’s dry powders. I prefer dry powders over any water bottle nutrient.

Listen to the lord thy hooha, either ditch the overpriced water or keep it very simple.

Are you growing in soil, or some flavor of hydro? It matters somewhat as to what you may or may not want to add. Details, pweez.

Sorry! Haha. I'm growing in soil. FFOF in 5 gallon smart pots. Day 39 of veg. Just started the base nutes today. I water until I see runoff from the smart pot (usually 1.5 gallons) and I put roughly 4.5 - 5mL of each (micro - grow - bloom) in that 1.5 gallons. Too much or? All my research that I did before deciding to start this grow was on the liquid type nutes. I got no clue how to use dry nutes. Just put them on the soil?!

Honestly I just want the biggest, healthiest, tastiest buds. Whatever nutes are gonna get me there is the route I'm going to take. Hit me with all the info, Pweez :p

Iv seen people grow cannabis with nothing but light soilless mix and no nute whatsoever. Of course they want you to buy buy buy, very aggressive marketing, ever tried to get your money back on an overdrive bottle?. I don't like their ph perfect line, makes ph unstable ime, additives of there's a good though, they had the foresight to split all the primary nutes into one bottle. Trial and error my friend, strain, environmental, genetics play the biggest of parts. 95 percent I'd say, your input is very small. Start slow and build, keep a journal, my biggest regret in ten years of growing countless strains is this. Because every time you do a different strain it's like starting again. Big bud is excellent, bud factor x is excellent, overdrive I think probably does very little but it's hard to stop using it, I like orca, especially used once a week (not an nutes) sweetnr by bloom is out of this world if you can get it in the states
