Adding CFL's for fill in light?

Hey guys,

I wanna know if it would help me to run a few CFL lights for fill in light in my veg room. I have a 400w HM right now. The room has 2 mother plants and about 8 new seedlings. The wall's are made with reflective pink board for home depot on all sides.

I found some pretty cheap ones on ebay that are 85w equiv to about 400w.

My plan was to maybe add 2. One on each side of my light to add fill in light to the edges. And also give the seedlings a little more light as the 2 mothers plants take alot of the light.

I also found this

Anyone else use them? Seems almost to good to be true.

hm, ive always debated this with myself to. in my experience when it comes to cfl vs hid, if you have 400watts of HID i dont think theres a need to add a couple cfls know what i mean? your really just making more of a hassle for yourself in the end for what i dont really think is to huge of a return, I mean, 4 or 5 cfls, thats maybe an ounce extra of bud, maybe worth it, but to me i grow with a 600 and expect 16oz per harvest at minumum, so when i look at it im not going to add a bunch more little lights for one more oz of product ya know? just adds heat, constrains space and is frankly just a bigger pain in my ass than 1oz is worth, but in the end you can if you want to its really up to you and how you want to do things.just so you know friend it really is to good to be true 100 watts of cfl is not the same as 100 watts of hps. different spectrums and light wavelengths, its a little confusing but im sure somenoe can and will explain better, pm me if you have any questions.

I would be extremely happy to get a extra OZ. Im growing 2 clones. 5 Auto flower seedlings and 3 femmed seeds that i will be using as mothers. So every extra OZ would help.

I run a 400 WATT HPS and use blue spectrum cfls as side and lower lighting plus to mix spectrum. I Don't know about actual yield difference because I havent compared numbers but the plants love it and the usual useless popcorn buds swell alot more. I run 8 plants in a 3x3.5FT area and use (2) 42W CFLS and (1)65W and lastly a nice lil 23W. No shading anywhere now the ladies love it! mixing spectrum is a nice bonus too for pretty cheap.
