Yesterday i had talked to some people who suggested that i add more lighting because they felt that my 150watt sun system light wasn't strong enough to penetrate down to the lower level buds of the plant. so since i had some florescent tubes laying around i add them in to. they are only 40 watt each but they but out 3050 lumens each and they are a cooler light as well which is good for promoting growing not budding i heard. However after about 2 hours some of the leaves were turning side ways as if they didnt like it. So i was wondering what i should do if i should leave them in or will they get use to it. let me know what you think

the tops of the leaves are facing towards the new supplemental CFL's? That means they like it they are turning to absorb light, even though they are daylight I can't imagine that HURTING them. after all the sun is a mix of all the spectrums of light so they should enjoy it. And as long as you dont have way more blue versus red lighting it shouldnt be an issue

Florescent lighting is very similar to MH, it gives much more blue light then HPS. Using MH+HPS helps resin production(blue light) While the HPS creates denser buds. So yes.. it helps but that light wont help a huge amount id suggest getting a high intensity Florescent bulb and fixture.
