Actual temperature or T range more important?

I've read lots of threads on what the actual temperature should be for indoor plants. I seem to be in about the right place. During the day, it gets up to about 78 maximum and in the dark it gets down to about 71 minmum.

My question is: How important is temperature range?

I've heard it's ideal to have a range of 10-15 degrees between day night. I can probably adjust my grow space and make a larger range but that would increase the maximum during the day. It would probably get up to 80-83 during the day and around 71 at night.

Would this greater range be benficial or is it more important to keep them in the 70s as they are now.?

well keeping the too temps close is good if you can get the light temp
to around 70ish 70 at best, and the night at around 65-69 ive found
theres better yields at lower temp no if your using co2 you can have
higher temps with no problem. but as with all thing nature and such
random temps are a way of life and your plant will adapt to what is
given to them.

Every plant is going to have different ideal temps but keep the night temps above 70 and within 10 degrees of daylight peak temps and you'll be light years ahead of a lot of growers already.

Sweet... Sounds like I'm in a good place 76-78 during light and 70-72 during dark. My roommate just burned the shit out of his plant the first week into flowering... Had it in a box with absolutely no ventilation... He put a soft white CFL in and within 3 hours...... Ventilation is KEY
