ACLU sues Michigan cities that have banned medical marijuana

About time. These elected representatives that are going against the overwhelmingly voted in law need to be held accountable for the lives they are destroying. This will make them very sorry for the bad decisions they have made. Finally.

For once the ACLU is doing something worthwhile...ok well I'm sure they've done other things worthwhile, but for the life of me I can't remember what...wonder why?

Thing is, mj falls under the michigan right to farm act which stops cities and townships from passing crap so ya cant grow stuff. Should not be hard for the ACLU to win cases like this. Keep us posted

Bloomfield just announced in some small local paper that they are now going to allow use and cultivation for legal patients. The article was printed sometime late last week. Not sure what paper, a friend had cut out the article to show to me.

it about time someone stands behind us. this is great, i hope everything works out for everyone. its nice to feel like the people have the power for once.

Tell me about it. City ordinances are only allowed to talk about what has NOT been put into law at a state level. So technically, banning dispensaries in a city is legal via that condition.....but restricting legal patients from growing (who have permission from the state) is illegal!
