you want to make Ecstacy and LSD? i hope youve got some chemistry background cause that shit is complicated as fuck

and a lot of the chemicals you need you cant just go out and buy

Come on seriously if you came here to ask how to make that stuff, just forget it. If you havent heard of alexander shulgin and his books, attempting a synthesis is not something you are going to be doing in life, just buy it on the street for christs sake.

^^^I have a good friend that is married to an organic chemist that works with DNA everyday for cancer research. She has never heard of shulgin or his books. However she is an excellent resource of knowledge on how to do things. I know a lot about him and his book and those general topics. All I could pull of probably would be something simple. So knowing the who's who doesn't mean you'll know how.

I was talking to OP, and you dont need to have a friend who is an organic chemist, all you have to do is study (obsessively) every keyword of the pihkal and tikal entry and you can learn how to make it, the hard parts are getting the precursors and the thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars worth of lab equipment. Not to mention doing all of that without attracting law enforcement attention.

Studying every word of P/Tihkal won't mean you can preform complicated chemical procedures. You will need hands on experience and some practice perfecting each process in most of the compounds those books contain. And you missed my point about my friend. The point was that she went to school and got a degree in organic chemistry and now does cancer research in seattle, but she 'never heard of shulgin'. That was the point(the shulgin part)

The precursors and equipment are not hard to find or make on your own if you know your stuff well enough, or were to look online. All it takes is a little research and some practice.

First off, I did not say "do" I said "learn", learning and doing are two completely actions. Of course you need hands on experience to do complicated chemicals procedures but that does not mean you can learn how they are done, although conceptualization only goes so far until, seeing really helps. But if you learn the definitions, the "why," and "hows" of each step Shulgin goes through its not that hard even with just a semester organic chemistry under your belt or reading on your own.

If you have access to 50Kg of HBWR seeds or have a field full of rye grain and you 20 grand to spend on a lab and chems, not to mention a friend chemist who is willing put their job at risk, and you have your heart set on making LSD, make sure to send me a sample. ;)

LOL I most definitely will, but thats not going to happen. I am no chemist nor plan on being one. I love to trip and research the chems to see what ones are my favorites and why/what makes then my favorites. No desire to stir the pot.
