"Accidentally" flowered 7 inch clones. Help Appreciated.

I'm growing skunk # 11 Feminized. The seeds are Dutch Passion's but I got them through a local seed shop in my city. I germinated 3 out of the 5 seeds I got and all grew into healthy plants. I took clones off all three when they were two feet, and started flowering them when they were three feet tall. The clones took a while to root and were in horrible shape (a day or two from being thrown out) when they started kicking and now they're all doing amazing and looking healthy as fuck. I have no choice but to keep them in the same closet as my flowering plants because of a lack of space. For the first two weeks of their life they were in 24 hour light until I started flowering my bigger three plants. Now, I have a 7-inch sativa clone showing a fair amount of white hairs and pre-flowers with the others showing a bit less but nevertheless there. I'm wondering what to do about that. Should I keep giving them nutes with more N or embrace the budding and start giving them flowering nutes? Also, you people think I'd get something as low as a quarter ounce off the clones if I let them bud, I'll give them their own room (at a big inconvenience to me so I wouldn't do it lightly). If I have a chance at a 'normal' yield (for me, close to an ounce would be great) then I'll keep doing what I'm doing. It's not that I didn't expect the clones to start budding under 12/12 light; rather I thought they'd stay in veg far longer than they did. So mainly I'd like the nutrient and yield questions addressed.

On another note, one of my bigger three plants is showing obvious indica-like 'symptoms'. The leaves are noticeably wider, and it started budding sooner/faster than the other two. I know this variation happens in sativa/indica hybrids but to my knowledge skunk #11 is pure sativa which has me confused. I hope somebody can explain that, too.

I find myself apologizing for my long ass questions almost every time I have something to ask but sorry nevertheless.

it depends on the strain, ive had 6-8" clones finish at 12-15" that i wished i had vegged, and i just had some that i flowered when rooted that became 30" and produced well... if your gonna keep em in 12/12 i would embrace flowering... clones have a lot of hormones as they have been alive on there parent long before being rooted, flowering starts pretty quick with them

thanks for the info, sativas generally take longer to flower so i'm inclined to (or want to) believe that they'll take long enough to get closer to the 30" than 15" part of the range. the budding will be embraced. thanks for the reply.

the problem is that you assume the clone is like a new seed plant in that it matures when its big enough and ready but the clone is as mature as the mother its taken from, once it roots its doing what shes doing. you can put it under 24 hr light to reveg expect 2 to 3 weeks before vegetative growth starts again. just use a single small cfl or a couple to reveg it

its highly unlikely they will reach 30" and have any sort of good buds on them. maybe some decent but not good... by the time they are haflway through flowering their roots system will probably be good for flowering, but its hard to call if a reveg is worth it.

hmm, that's something to think about. If I'd have to wait 2-3 weeks for vegetative growth to start then I'm still inclined to let them keep budding, but I think I'm gonna give a mix of veg and flowering nutes in hopes that they'll grow taller/leafier before they're fully budding. the advice is appreciated.

for sure man I did that a couple of times with a nice sativa I was highly disappointed.... I revegged the clones and some of them never stopped flowering and other ones eventually became large healthy plant. probably hermed tho cuz i just gave em away and they had almost light for a long time in a shitty basement... anyways rambling on now cloning is kinda tricky because sometimes you don't want to do it in veg then you do in flower, depending on how the girl grows out. once you got a good way of cloning going its easy to take a small clone from every plant in veg and then you can kill it if you don't care for the mom. a 10"x20" flat holds up to 90 clones in plugs pretty easily.

Hey beo,

I just threw some clones directly into flowering 2 days after cutting for a bit of a yield experiment.

The budding began very quickly, but they've only grown an inch or two vertically after 5 weeks.

I'm doing this with 4 different strains and it looks as though yield per plant will be maybe

10-20 grams, at best. Not sure if it'd meet your standards... They're kind of like little bonsai trees.

Anyway, thought I'd mention it.. peace

Since you have some mature girls in flower I would put the clones back into veg. By the time your mature girls are finished the clones - revegged and a lot larger, will then produce bigger yields....plus you will be able to take clones from them as well when they have vegged out a bit....good luck with whatever you try.

Thanks for all the help, everybody; Scotty, my clones still vegged for two weeks as opposed to your experiments' two days so approaching 20 grams on the clones would be fine for me, especially since I'm only hoping for an ounce off the biggest plant that's about four feet tall 2-3 weeks into flowering. I'd rather have a somewhat modest estimate and be positively surprised than hoping for a QP and being disappointed- plus, this is my first "real" grow (not in my parents' house with an incandescent bulb and bagseed in a cup) though by the standards I've seen on RIU I have more than a little hope for the harvests to come.
If this thread is still around when the time comes I'll post the final yields for those that might like to know.
