I had a couple s6 fans that stopped oscillating and were replaced under warranty this week. I'm not sure when they came out with the V2 (I think this was the 1st sea container with the new version), but I gotta say, they hit it out of the park with this one
First off, they completely redesigned the housing. We'll see 6 months from now, but I have a feeling like the redesign will prevent the eventual stopping of the oscillation that plauged the v1's.
The other two new features that really impressed me were the "natural wind" setting and the ability to change the angle in which the fan moves back and forth. The new mode apparently mimicks natural wind by changing the fan speed as it oscillates.
All in all, IMO this fan is now worth way more than the $50 they charge. If anyone had a bad experience with the V1, I'd suggest giving the new version a try.
