About Trichomes

do all trichomes smell the same (if you touch em on a growing tree and smell your finger) , reason why i'm asking this is because i have a tree in flowering (24days) and the trichs smell exactly like some weed i grew already (a VERY strong citrus smell). i got the seeds for the previous grow from some jamaican weed (brick weed) and my current tree is from some "local" weed derived from jamaican seeds, (it was grown from jamaican seeds and produced it's own seeds). my first grow was years ago.

also on a side note, is it normal for a tree to smell skunky during veg and in 24days flowering lots of trichs not smell that way at all?

Sure its not the plant your smelling. To be able to clearly smell variations in trichome odor is odd...Everything is predicated on genetics. Anything is possible. Smelling trichomes?

yes im sure it's the trichomes because i don't touch the bud directly i touch the ones on the bud leaves and the smell is a strong citrus smell. wen i smell the plant i get different toned down smell.

ur tri's will start to smell different later in flowering. No they don't all smell the same. all i can say for the skunky smell loss is that you might have gotten used to the smell. Your plants will smell their strongest when in peak ripeness.
