About the odor problem on the balcony.

Hi, I live on the top floor of a high-rise residence. Unfortunately, I don't have the budget to indor at the moment. I have a plan to grow 5 autoflowers on the balcony in May. Do you think an intense and remarkable smell will reach the balcony of my downstairs neighbors? I don't think they have ever smelled cannabis plants before and knew the smell. In addition, there is no such thing as reporting even if they know, our family friends. I just don't want to be noticed by anyone.

If I can manage to harvest 20gr from each, 100gr will be enough for me for 1 year. Do you think this is a big expectation? I would like to hear your views on this subject as well.

I think it’s definitely possible they could smell them depending on winds and breezes. I also think your 20gr per plant is quite doable. GL

20g off each plant would be a bad grow, so you should be able to easily obtain that. As @bam0813 stated, the smell will depend on the wind and all that.

my first grow i didnt have a carbon filter i had a 60W lamp and i grew 8g of weed. you could smell the plant across the street. when you entered the building you could smell the weed. as you climbed when you came to my floor weed would stink like crazy and i didnt smoke at that time...

Thanks for your valuable comments. If it is possible to get an average of 30gr with good training and fertilizer, I can reduce the number of plants from 5 to 3. I don't really have eyes for more, 100g of hashish and 1 happy year is enough for me. I will grow GSC, Jack Herer and Northens Light. Do you think 30gr is too ambitious?

You're not going to get 30 gr of hash from a plant imo. But 30 gram of bud should be easily done.

Since you said 20gr would be a bad growth, I wanted to believe that I could get 30gr from a single plant with average-good care.

yes, i meant 30gr buds for each plant.

Yea that should be fairly easy to do even on a first grow.

you are doing outdoor soo i wouldnt be suprised if you did a couple of hundred grams if the sun is good.

I would grow 2 plants in big containers, using good organic compost, feed with blood and bone or good quaility organic fertiliser. Turn each to get good sun. You should have a good crop but they will probably smell when flowering.

Go for it! You could also grow strong scented herbs like basil, lavender etc, and casually mention to neighbors how great your fresh herbs smell. Other plants can increase pest potential.

When I wasn’t scrubbing my air in my old flower room I could smell it when I turned onto my block.

Mids don’t stank tho?

Grow plants that smell less such as Northern lights or Papaya. My first outdoor grow was Polar express by Auto seeds which they say is kush x Northern lights . The smell was non existent unless you rubbed the bud. I made so many mistakes. A cat snapped off the main cola and them my wife uprooted it and left it on the compost pile over night by mistake. I replanted it and it still grew and gave me 40g. That thing was indestructible. Highly recommended for new / stealth growers. Id love to know what I could do with it now .

morning wind, usually blows down hill, here in the sticks.

You bet thats the thermals. Opposite will happen in evening. Think you have it backwards though.
