about ready to harvest

I'm just wondering if I was to take my good buds that are ready to harvest off is it safe to do that. Alot of my lower buds still have white hairs and clear trics. If so where do I cut? Just where the littel ones are or a bit higher? This is my first grow kind of want to get the most of my baby as possible. Also will it stress the plant if I did.

yes, you can harvest in stages.. it doesn't make much sense unless you have really big plants. usually a smaller plant will more or less ripen all at once, and the gain you would realize from allowing the undergrowth to mature would be negligable. there will be a few days while your plant bounces back from the shock, and if you have already fully flushed your plant those lower buds won't have the fuel to kick back on and finish ripen after the stress of the partial harvest is past

Well my plant is about 3 feet. My tops buds are ready today if I want. But if flushing takes away the nutes that the lower buds need would it be waste to just flush and chop and just have less ripe bud than more ripe buds or should I chop upper half and let the rest just finish even if they dont get bigger but get better.

there is nothing wrong woth letting the top go until the bottom is ripe. it's not as if it will over ripen in the time it takes for the rest of the plants to catch up. make sure you don't hav more than 50% amber trichs and just relax. i realize you want to harvest so that you can smoke, but be patient. the goodies are comin.
