I want to have 24 plants how many lights do I need . First time grower looking for some solid advice thank you fellow greenthumbs

Read!! Thats the best you can do at this point. Theres lots of info on this site and all over the web. Hit the (internet) books and take notes

That's like asking "I want 20 cars to fit in a garage I'm building". Well are these cars stretch hummers or smart cars?

You'll need to do some research and see what size you are going to want to grow your plants. It will be different scenarios depending how big you're gonna get them.
