A Search Engine That Works

I hate to bash a site that i enjoy but the search function here on RIU sucks,it dont just suck it's pretty much useless,after using the search function here for as long as i have it hit me today,its no wonder all the noob's post repetative threads asking the same questions daily,it's because they cant find what they need when they use it.

Try it,enter something in the search bar & see the results,99% of them will have nothing to do with the reference phrase entered,maybe its the tags put on threads, i dont know,i do know though that of the 3 sites i visit the search engine here is the worst,by far.

Is it just me or do others think this site needs/deserves a killer search engine ?

Agreed panhead currently the best is to search by topic title, this is a problem with vbulletin.... There is so much information stored in each post it tries to grab the most likely but usually fails.... I do have a system in mind that I would like to implement its a framework that uses somewhat the same algo as google does. It just takes time
