A questions about fan ventialation in a grow tent

I have a 1 meter wide x 1 meter long x 3 meter high tent. I have a fan inside for when they grow to blow on the plants to make them stronger.

My tent has 3 ventilation holes, 2 at the top, 1 at the bottom.

Should I get two small fans for these holes? Is it more important to have the fresh air coming in or the air inside going out? Should I just have fresh air coming in with the fan that blows on them for stalk strength? Or should I have the fax as exhaust?

I am in seedling stage so I basically have the door open during the day and closed at night. This keeps the temp good.

I use one inline vortex fan to draw air from my grow cage, the inlet is passive and the CO2 rich air distributed evenly with an air floor. Check out the equipment chapter, air floor or ventilation tags, in Weed Science.

Depends on a lot of things. Like what kind of fans are you talking about and what is your light situation?

I have the AG Veggie pro. I am just using the AG lights now. I have 6 150 watt CFLS (daylight) set up. I used them last time and from what I have read here i am waiting to use them until the plants start growing.

The fan a have is a 1 meter diameter fan. I pushes some strong air. Since it is seedling I am not using it now. I wait until some nodes appear.

IDK what kinda fans you have now, but id go to www.htpsupply.com and pick up a 6" inline duct fan 160cfm for $24.95. then Id cover one of your top holes leaving only one hole open on the top. Id hook the fan up above your box and run the flex duct vent to where you want your smell/heat to go, then run flex duct from the other end of the fan down to the hole you left open on the top of your box. Once you get that all hooked up and running, the fan will pull all your unwanted heat/smell out your top hole (which is where hot air travels anyways to the top of the box) and with the suction created by that, it will pull fresh cool air in through the bottom hole with out the help of another fan. So all you'd have to do is to run one inline duct fan to exhuast your box and pull in fresh air at the same time.

Thanks! That is an awesome idea! If I added a homemade filter where would be the best location for that?
