A question or two (containers)

Whats up everyone!! I got a 250 Watt MH setup for 50 bucks the other day, it came with the pulse start bulb in it. I did some searching and it says it puts out an average of like 17,000 lumens and 4300K. I dont like the fact that the Color Temp is so low... But how will that effect the vegative growth of my plant, will adding about 6,000 lumens of 5600K help any? I preferably wouldnt like to do that cuz of my electric bill. I guess will it veg with 4300K or will it be veggin at a snails pace?

From your guys' experiences what will a plant that has a container a bit bigger than a 1 gallon milk jug, height max out at?

Here is the link to the bulb specs. (pdf):weed:

Color temp mainly affect internode length. A high color temp during veg will produce compact plants with short internode which will later on produce tighter denser buds in a cola. A plant vegged with HPS is prone to stretch more.

mh are much better for vegging that say an hps bulb.. alot of peps will use a mh for veg as they tend to keep your nodes nice and tight, and then switch over to hps for flowering as they have more red spectrum in them...
you can also get an hps conversion bulb for a mh and use that for flowering, and just use the mh for veg, and have great results that way too..
there are just wayyyy too many factors to make a call on how big a plant will get in any given container size.. like strain, lights, nutes, light distance from plant, growers experience, the list goes on and on...

Thanks for your guys' time!! Woohooo grow mother fuckas!!!! jk haha kinda.
Haha can we cuss in forums... wont happen again... Also anyway to get feminized seeds into US or do you just gotta know someone. lol Shoot me a PM if you got some "tomato seeds" you needa get rid of!!

Yeah you can cuss, but it's better not to.
Feminized seeds are for sale all over the internet, and although this may or may not be of importance - I would order it through someone you know, that do not grow, but are willing to help you out - just to break the trail from the seed provider to your house.
I don't dare to order to my own house, although it supposedly is not much of a risk.

As to the question of the containers; I thought the rule of thumb was 1gal per foot of vertical growth. So you need a 3gal container for a 3ft plant, somebody correct me if I am wrong please.
