A pot question

I know I should post this in another place but I know you guys more than I know all of them.

I obtained some cuttings of some of the most powerful pot I have ever encountered, when others smoke it they all say the same thing, a look in the scope shows trichs that look like bunches of grapes rather than individual globes. It is a seriously different and awe creating smoke.

The problem is that it is almost devoid of smell, even when crushed all it will give off is a small skunky-terpentine puff and then nothing.

People for some reason will turn their noses up at anything that doesn't have an abundance of aroma, and many will not even smoke it.

What could I possibly do to increase what are frankly, cosmetics in order to induce people to try something that after they try it will be enlightened?

Stressing the plant a little will make it smell more throughout flower, I have no idea if that will carry past the cure though. I've never needed to increase the aroma.

I am aware of how some of the dispensaries in our region operate - they will sample a variety of different products and keep track of how much they will pay for each. After the first several, they can not really deterimne the psychotropic qualities of the products so they simply roll up a joint, and take a taste but they won't bother if the stuff doesn't reek, as they claim that is what the customer really wants anyway. I can't get many of them to even try this stuff. It is the last of a rather mythical strain the name of which was actually registered with a trade mark until such things were found to be unacceptable. It is interesting what is given to micropropagators. And what they manage to preserve.

Quite doable.

1st of all, how was the dry/cure? If it hit above 72 degrees, then you can expect the vast amount of taste and smell from the terpenes to disappear. Keep that in mind for anything else you do during the grow.

Next, there are a variety of "sweeteners". They are mostly sugar, and simply give the plant extra spurts of energy, but some of them a "flavored". Whatever they have is maintained and expressed in the plant, and it will definitively boost the taste and smell, as well as help it grow.

I've use multiples. Like some, hate others. You need to try a few of them since they are unique, and some people like/hate them (like me). I seem to recall pineapple was really good.

Finally, they will NOT boost the native taste/smell, they will mask/add their own. I suggest you NOT use them if it was a temp during dry problem.

Note: My absolute favorite strain is what looks like an indica while growing with REALLY STRONG diesel fuel smell. But if you didn't see it grown, you'd swear it was dipped in fuel and refuse to smoke it. I have no idea the core genetics, it was random bag seed, but it is incredible. We call it "sleepy head". This is what we give to people who are dope snobs. Do not smoke the bowl standing up. Even better are those that flare the whole bowl (like me until then). Really, when doing a group party bowl, smoke a little corner and pass it. You do NOT want more. I never knew I could OD (from my physical/mental comfort perspective) before I smoked this stuff.

I will have my grower follow your instructions. I believe that this stuff was originaly from a bag of unknown something. people look askance at bag seed but sometimes there is gold in there - and it is finally different than all of the recombinations and combinations of the same dozen original strains that we see so often. When I can convince folks to smoke it, they tend to refuse a second hit - sometimes with zeal.

"no man, that's plenty, really, um.... what did you say this stuff was"

Cross it with some sour and see if it dont stank canndo!!

I fear that any cross would compromise the intense power - this stuff is frightening. I had thought to simply put a bud or two of something very stinky in it but that just doesn't sit right with me.

Gotta do wat ya gotta do lol

You need to give it a name. I suggest Trendy Name Marketing Gimmick Kush.
You don't have access to a decent macro lens? There's no need for taking pics with a microscope.

I thought the tobacco giants trademarked a bunch of popular strain names in the 70s when it looked like it was going to be legalized.

That duck always has me quacking up. But I agree with testtime upon the methods. Also. Alot of really great strains are on the streets and sold as "greens" or even classified as "dirt". There was this old man who untill recently had dirty or bio fat nick versions of Jack, haze, and even kush. The only difference from the regular expensive versions was the fact that the bags had seeds. Which I saved. I even got some White Widow seeds that I grew out from buying random bags.
