A note on cloning

Hi all,

Firstly, just want to thank everyone for the awesome cloning tutorials out there; especially subcool's. They are were I learned almost everything I know about cloning.

I am interested in sharing an interesting, albeit anecdotal, finding.

Awhile back, a few weeks into my first grow, my roommate drank too much and we ended up bringing him to the hospital. In the process, the plants were hidden and the possibility of being caught became real. All though the entire experience was paranoia-fueled, we ended up scrapping the plants.

I left one of the scrapped plants in a dark closet for a few days, and it sprouted up like all hell; perhaps the giberellins in the plant taking over in a last-ditch search for light?

Anyhow, I took a clone off the plant and now it is a beautifully rooted clone.

This is where my information comes into play. I took the humidity dome off my plant, once a week, rather than the usually defined once a day, to no adverse effect. I can post pics later, but the genetics are definitely sativa, so no so-called "indica hardiness" could be coming into play. It seems as though the cannabis plant is just plain stronger than I could have anticipated.

I don't know if there is any need to respond.

In an effort to make my post more clear, I just want to say that what surprised me was that the plant didn't rot or die because of lack of transpiration when I left it in the dome for weeks at a time.

haha, that was the same conclusion I came to. The purpose of the post was to demonstrate that noobs such as myself need not worry so much, as that probably causes worse damage than a little neglect.
