A look inside the SGS-160 (warranty fan replacement)

It's rated at 19dB, there are fans that make less noise for the same airflow (70cfm)

i ordered 4X of these: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14425/fan-923/SilenX_140x140x25mm_-_12dBA_-_48CFM_Effizio_Series_Quiet_Fan_EFX-14-12.html

They have a 120mm version as well, I'm not limited to 120mm though, so that makes a difference. The lower the RPM, the less noise it will make. Basically you're looking for a fan that moves air the most efficiently. If you need a 120mm, then set your "bar" at 70cfm, and find the lowest dB rated one for that output. Some fans are sold as 2000rpm, but in order to run at <20dB they are slowed down to 1000-1200rpm. Make sure it will push the 70cfm at whatever speed you can set it at (most are DC 12V, some are PWM).

My vent fan takes much time to get started and also makes noise which is really annoying. Please do help me to troubleshoot the problem.
