new to beeding masterd soil"lol i think i did ive moved on to hydro"if i can say so my self so much beter of a looking plant and easyer if u get all the shit to start out lol" i was think of crossing a mendo purp male "my budy got a o from a depenshry in so cal and found one seed" and a skunk one feamle i have has this been done and how should i go about doing it thanks guy..keepin it green

Well, more than likely, if that story is true about the seed, it is a female. Probably the result of a hermie. But if it does happen to be a male, you'll just have a cross of the two. I'm sure you can find someone who has done it before, but either way, it's yours right? And it will probably have some good hybrid vigor so it will be a nice little gem. Try it out and post some pics.

What is the reason for crossing? what Pheno are you trying to isolate? those are the questions i would be asking...yes if you cross them you will end up with a F1 hybrid that will resault in multiple phenotypes being represented. From there you need to do selective breeding to create a F2 and then back cross to secure the pheno....so if your looking to create an IBL, i would first try to determine what from each plant you want your IBL to be.

well that mendo purp seed came from a bag and its a male so sad.(ive never had a male plant with this strong of a scent) and as for the crossing i guess i'm no dr. here compared to you guys hats off man..but u lost me ..what im trying to do is well...when i smoked the purp i got the seed from it was a real heady high dank smelling ,and the skunk is a cotch lock.im just tryin to get the best of both worlds i know about the back crossing and all that..as an experiment some summer ago i got a male og kush plant from a budy who ordered beans and my uncle has been growing la confidential for some time i planted them both oust side my house let them do their thing and now from sexing an all that bs i have a stain i like.. i breed ...taste good smells great and good high ..that's all i was hoping to do put any help along the way is need that's u guys

I think he's just trying to grow some weed. No need to delve to this depth.

If you had a male why would you destroy it?

Nobody can tell you how it's going to come out. There are just too many variables. But if you have two good parents, you'll get decent bud with the dominant traits of both strains duking it out for dominance. If you are trying to learn breeding, that's a whole different conversation, but it didn't seem like you are trying to get that in depth.

Actually he does need to go this deep when breeding. unstable strains shouldnt even be created just bad for business, before you breed you need to read!!!
