get a 250w envirolite or 110w t5 lighhtwing for veg and either a 400 or 600 hps for flower or the yield will be dissapointing m8
Ware would a good place be to buy a HPS online or The closest hydro store?

you have to rewire the ballast to make it remote..(its very easy)
once you make it remote, follow these instructions to make it a cooltube

dont let anyone say cfls arent good ive seen far too many grows succeed with em. use them right and you are guaranteed to get good results and decent yields. i wont deny that the hps is a good light system just saying cfl's work just as good for smaller cab grows and such

u crazy folks n your cfl's crack me up lol if you want to just grow a coupla small plants and only want enough bud to last you two weks cfl's are the way forward. if you want big fat juicy buds you need hps.
as for cooltubes ,home made or not the only thing they are good for is vertical lighting with the internal reflector removed the light lost by using them horizontal totally negates the cooler temps. get a sputnik or other encloseed hood by all means but stay well away from cooltubes unless your in a colliseum type setup
