A good time to stop weaving

hi...this is my first attempt with a scrog net!.. all going well and if I may say I'm really enjoying this whole project, just wished I'd have tried this method year's ago, anyway my question is.. I'm 3 weeks into flower my net is filling up nicely..are there any hard set rules as to when I should stop weaving and just let them grow? Thanks

Looking back, i would have stopped weaving a day or 2 earlier so i got alittle more height, and would have put the pots on milk crates or something.
Watering was a pita.

You want all the buds at the right hight to be optimal distance from your light. That way they are all top quality. That's the goal with Scrog. So basically only keep going if some buds are too tall

I usually go by the two week stretch rule but sometimes you just have to pay attention to the net and plant and bud areas and try to keep them the same height give or take a few inches all around. I’ve weaved for a week before and weaved for three before after flip to 12/12. It just depends on all the factors and I sometimes notice I weaved a branch that would’ve done better if I didn’t weave them so I back track those branch’s and let them go up .

this is how I scrog I grow up into the net thru veg and everything weaving even thru veg I run the net 8” above the pots base to keep the plants short and wide. It got a little crazy this round as I’m working with my new soil and don’t mind there autos I don’t weave them I just ran a few to try out. Usually it’s always photos though.

You grow photoperiods only right?
Can i ask what light cycles do you use in different stages because people debate about it so much? Thanks in advance.,

I start out on 20/4 when they are in there seed starter cups and Dixie cups. Then when I transplant I give everybody 48 hrs lights on. That’s usually two weeks into the grow. Then I start 18/6 for forty five to sixty days depends on how fast the net fills. Then I do 24 hours of darkness and start the 12/12 and like the last week I’ll sometimes do 14 off 10 on to make them push harder.I usually only do photos though this last grow I grew a few autos as my stash was getting low and needed something quick

How did you figure out that kind of dfiferent cycles for ptohos? I know most of them basic ones but the last weeks you just lower the cycle 14/10 - 10/14? Ive always just pushed them 12/12 until the end. Preference or some kind of source that will help the flowers somehow get bigger/fatter or what's yourr goal? Some kind of source for that would always be super because i'm learning still, and in this forum (and everywhere else almost) is just people posting what they want without actual proof. Thanks

I just kinda keep it how they would grow naturally if outside when they are in flower if you look at the suns time cycles when most plants are in there flower season they are getting 12 to 14 hours of darkness so those last week or two I add in a extra hour or so of darkness to make them think they’re about to kick it and push as herd as they can it’s not much different then say somebody giving they’re plant 24 to 48 hours of straight darkness at the end to try and make them push harder

i dont "weave" anything through the net, it causes far more problems then it solves. the plant becomes intertwined with the net, which ime, only served to be a giant PITA when harvesting.

to me, setting 2 net layers 10" apart and letting the plant stretch through both layers is best method. plenty of support is provided and harvest is much simpler, net is reusable.
