Historically I haven't been very good at keeping on top of journals, but with all this "social distancing" going on I decided to give it a go. I've got a few things in the works this season.

Tent #1:
Quasi-SOG style seed dump. Using up a couple years of freebies. I've decided it's time to make the jump to higher quality genetics but didn't want these guys to go to waste.

Strains: Cheese, Lemon Cheese, 2x Purple Diesel Daze, Florida OG, LA Confidential, Critical 2.0, Fruity Widow, Cinderella XX

315CMH
32"x32"x62" Tent
1 Gallon Grow Bags
70% Fox Farms Ocean Forest/30% Coco
Tap water. pH 6.5 (ish)
General Organics Nutes (none added yet)

March 7, 6 days +/- from sprouting

March 15, about 2 weeks old, flipped to 12/12

Today, March 21, one week in flower. Just cleaned out some of the lower growth since it's about to get crowded in there.

Tent #2: The autos. I've only grown one auto before and this little experiment hasn't gonna particularly smoothly. I've already killed two Advanced Seeds Somangos that went to flower while tiny because I didn't pot up quick enough. One Seedsman NL Auto survived my negligence and I've added 2 Advanced Seeds Auto Kaya 47's and another NL.

2x4x5 tent
Spider Farmer SF2000
5 gal, 3 gal fabric pots and one 5 gallon soil hempy (cause why not?)
Same General Organics Nutes, but only the big NL has received any nutes

March 8th, 3 days from sprout for the new gals, no idea on the original NL!

20200317_170155.jpg
March 17th, I'm bad at autos apparently. The OG NL is thriving, everything else is sad. Thought they might need some CaliMagic so they got a light feed
20200321_221022.jpg
Today, March 21. Started some LST on the little ones...
20200321_221041.jpg
And I snapped one of the AK47s in half. Oh well, hopefully she survives.

Gotta get dialed in before I crack the good stuff!20200321_221035.jpg
And finally, some early NL flower for yall

Got a World of Seeds Ketama and Seedsman Bruce Banger Fast on deck in the seedling tent under a new vivosun 4 tube t5.

Thinking Useful Seeds are going to be my next purchase. Probably Bag of Oranges and something chocolatey. Open to suggestions if anyone has em!

The QSOG is filling in and the girls look nice and healthy. They've been top dresses with some additional FFOF but no other nutes so far. The one in the front left is the LA Confidential and she is just growing SO SLOWLY haha.

The autos are doing okay but still aren't thriving like my photos. Got some LST going on the AK47s. The little NL is a stout beast that hasn't branched out at all yet, completely different from how the big NL grew.

The big NL is starting to bud up but has taken a turn and the leaves are yellowing a bit. Some are curling. Not entirely sure what's going on yet. It's gotten a couple feeds of General Organics Bloom, Marine and Diamond Black. Side note, I'm not sure why I went back to liquid nutes. I miss my Megacrop. Gonna try out VEG+BLOOM dry nutes next, I just don't wanna waste the GO stuff.

And finally, the little Bruce Banger and Ketama are starting to take off. Gonna top and clone them this weekend.

March 29th, week 2 of flower. Gave the girls in the QSOG tent their first feeding, GO Bloom, Marine and Black Diamond. They are all starting to look like we're about to see bud, except of course the little LA Confidential.

Day 24 for the three little autos and the AK47s have really taken off over he last 2 or 3 days. The little NL is the stoutest plant I think I've ever grown. No real branching, no sign of new nodes. Stem as thick as my thumb. Virtually couldn't be more different than the first one I grew. Still just getting water and a little CaliMagic.

The big NL was apparently starving. Hit her with a heavy feeding and she perked right up.

Also took clones from the little guys but forgot to take pictures so that will have to wait.

Most of the girls have little buds all over now. The LA confidential is the one straggler. Getting to a point where having all different strains is definitely a bit of a juggling act. They all want to be watered at different times and I have to make two different nute mixes because a couple of the girls didn't like the strength of my feeding mix.

Day 29 for the 2 Auto AKs and the little NL. They're starting to fill out nicely. The AK in the 5 gallon pots is definitely outgrowing the one in the 3 gallon at this point. The NL is a funny little plant. Absolutely massive fan leaves, thick stem, still barely any branching. Really curious to see what she ends up looking like!20200404_171743.jpg

The older NL Auto looks really yellow still from me under feeding it early in flowering, which is kind of a bummer because otherwise the buds are filling in nicely and it's taking on some nice purples in the leaves and hairs.

And finally, the two little photos waiting for some room in the big tent. I took a few clones and started some LST on them.20200404_171540.jpg20200404_171544.jpg

Well shit. I have fungus gnats in two of my tents. Weird how the hydro shop that sold me the soil they most likely rode in on was out of gnat treatment. Anyways, ordered some goGnatz and yellow sticky traps. Hopefully the gnats don't get much worse before everything shows up on Friday. Coronavirus really limiting my options right now.

On a separate note, the fan leaves on this second NL Auto are absolutely massive!20200404_222607.jpg

And on a much happier note, dropped one Mephisto 4 Assed Monkey and one Wicked Pissah Black Cherry Pebbles for the auto tent today.

April 10th update. Just trucking along. These autos seem much more sensitive than I'm used to in soil but overall everything is going well. The older NL Autos buds are starting to fill in and she smells lovely at day 79ish. I can't call it the big NL anymore because the younger one is outgrowing it now.

Couple observations on the younger NL. It's day 35 from seed. She is clearly way behind the two AKs of the same age, just starting to branch out. Based off the timeline for the older one, I suddenly realized that I may be on my way to a monster plant, and one that was probably gonna run another 60 days or more. I'm not sure if I'm even gonna keep here just for space reasons, but I'm kinda curious what will come of her. I wound up super-cropping to give he more room to stretch. Ive read all the stuff that says not to supercrop autos but she's basically one big science experiment at this point.

The soil hempy she's in is pretty interesting as well. When I cropped her the stem felt hollow like when I was growing hydro. I may try growing like this again but with a photo strain I'm more familiar with.

The two auto AKs are looking pretty good. The little one is super reactionary to my nute mix but the big one is ripping along.

The QSOG tent is cranking along as well. All the plants are flowering and looking nice and healthy.

Don't have pics but both my Mephisto 4 Assed Monkey and Wicked Pissah Black Cherry Pebbles cracked in just a couple days and are in some soil now. They'll be looking for a home in the auto tent soon which is why I'm on the fence with the slow ass NL.

Bruce Banger and Ketama plants are chugging along. Cloning was a disaster this go around. Got 2 of 4 BBs to root, the other two damped off. All 4 Ketama cuttings died too. I think I took the cuttings preemptively. I only clone to give them to friends but I'm still kinda annoyed. Gonna try building a little bubble cloner this weekend if I can scrounge up everything I need around the house.

Got some good gear coming in the mail soon too. Already looking forward to what's going in next.

The seedlings and clones. Trying some new cloning methods. I was in the process of building a bubble cloner when I remembered I stopped doing DWC because of how loud the air pump was, and by remembered I mean my lady said if she had to listen to that damn air pump turn on and off every 15min she would lose her mind. So we're trying some straight into soil and some in the rapid rooters but with some scraping.

4AM seedling looks good. Black cherry pebbles had a tough time getting her shell20200414_200245.jpg off and is struggling a bit but I believe in her.

This is the lineup for the foreseeable future. Feels like Christmas morning putting them all together. Can't wait to start running some of this stuff.

Great Lakes Genetics and JCB Seeds are the only banks I'll ever order from again. Otherwise it's breeder direct. Also, after all these other guys hooking it up with freebies, testers, stickers and schwag the Greenpoint package seemed so disappointing. I know you shouldn't EXPECT freebies, but virtually every order came with some except them. This Rum Runner better kick ass.
