a few lighting questions

hey everyone. I know theres probably a lot of questions going around about lighting on here, but I searched the forums and could not find exactly what i needed.
I plan on growing five plants soon, probably something like 20 square foot area. I planned on growing entirely with high pressure sodium lights, but now I hear that they do not supply enough blue light to support the veg period.

Also I cant find any information or charts for lumens for different wattage hps lights. is there a standard number or lumens for say a 250 watt hps?

so does anyone know the lumens for a 250watt hps? would a few (and how many exactly) 250watt hps lights be sufficient for the 20sqft-ish / 5 plant set up? thanks in advance

lumen output is dependent on the bulb. different bulbs have different lumen output and "more lumens" isn't necessarily better - it also depends on the spectrum of the light. Since i don't know dick about this - i rely on the bulb manufacturers for info. but i've attached some light guides others have posted on this forum.

Twenty square feet ( W x L ) or twenty cubic feet ( W X L X H ) ?

most grow guides i've seen/read recommend MH for veg and HPS for flowering.
