A few issues with my seedlings.

OK so, the larger of the two is about a week and a half old from germ. The other is about 6 days or so.

the larger of the 2, lemon skunk, seems to have the leaves curled upright a bit? unsure as to what that is all about

the other, small distorted leafing started. not sure how to correct this.

Both are growing under a 150 hps and 300 watt cfl in happy frog potting soil from fox farm.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Actually from what I've heard, and from what the folks at HTG have told me over the phone; Happy Frog does well with seedlings. My other plants are doing just fine and so have my other crops.

Unsure as to what the distorted leaf issue is.

it looks like you are getting some localised humidity stress from your lights being too close and too hot.

Personally i would do as mother has described and also just use the 300w CFL for now until strong enough to take all the lights you have on them.

Thanks for the help. Just unplugged the 150 so I'll start that thing back up closer to flowering. Ill update in a day or 2.
Thank you

Update:

I repotted into Ocean Forest, and cut out the 150hps. Not as humid in the tent now and the new growth on the smaller plant looks normal.
The larger of the 2 has "flattened out" the leaves.
Thanks for the help!

Yep, it looks like to me that the nutrients in the soil may be causing that. My friend had the exact same problem and was also told to flush. As Mother's Finest said just make sure you don't flush often, that will just lead to another problem :P. Humidity, I doubt it unless the light is really close, for the time being I would move them a bit further just in case. I hope for the best :)

The reason for the leaf curling inwards is localised humidity stress from too little humidity.

Its all about Vapour Pressure Defecits (VPD's) where the pressure exerted on the leaf surface is too great causing the leaf to curl like that.

If you want to know more just google

Vapour pressure defecits VPD

Thanks, J.

I switch to Ocean forest soil, using that 300w CFL and that larger plant looks much better. The leafs "flattened out".

Thanks for the help!
