A $350 upgrade to the hurricane, or should I buy something else?

Okay, so I have this Hurricane 1000 Goldeneye (pictured below)



So a special occasion is coming up, and I decided to buy something nice for myself. I got some spare $ so money isn't a problem. I'm not trying to spend more than $350 though.

I was looking at getting a ROOR diffused downstem on it, and then throwing a ROOR ash catcher on the downstem, then putting the hurricane ash catcher/bowl on TOP of the ROOR ash catcher. I was also going to get a gold bowl. All that is about $350.

Can anyone think of something better to do to my hurricane, or something totally different I should buy? The size on the hurricane is 14.5. I have a 14mm slide and it doesn't fit so well, the Europeans must do it differently I don't know. The German ROORS are 14.5mm and 18.8mm. This is why I sought out the german roor brand.




This is my shopping list right now, but I can't really bring myself to buy such an expensive ash catcher without some opinions!

Diffused downstem (one for the bong, and one for the ash catcher)


Ash Catcher (5mm)


Bowl (eyy gotta match ROOR & Hurricane right? )


Hurricane Ash Catcher adapter (put it where the bowl goes on the ash catcher and place that hurricane ash catcher globe on top, THEN on top of hurricane ash catcher goes bowl)



So what do you guys think? I kind of think it's worth it, because hey you cant get more baller than GERMAN ROOR / Austrian Hurricane collab - - - but then again its $350 for an ash catch, 2 downstems, and a bowl! Fuck!

I would probably buy a decent vaporizer for that kinda Dough, that's just me though

Get a micro Toro instead for $350 and have a nice collecion and a BOMB second bong.

But fuck it, I'd splurge for those awesome attachments

Diffused downstems and ashcatchers were the best things I ever bought for my bongs.

Yeah. I already have a Digital Volcano Vaporizer . That ran like $650 lol

A friend has a toro, it's pretty nice. But I'm not sure if it's nicer than a hurricane thats hooked up with roor like that. The hurricane is already really smooth, and I think the ash catch would make it so you cant even feel the smoke in your lungs ya know?

Those are some expensive pieces of glass. Your really just paying for the name. ROOR. Although ROOR is the Shit. As is VIP. Never had a hurricane. But me personally i would get another piece to add to the collection. Maybe a bubbler, a percolated bong, steam roller, something along those lines. But i would still get the attachments i just wouldnt spend THAT much on them. GOOD Luck post pics when you get what you get. Yeah??

Well you are paying for name with anything that costs more than a few hundred bucks. I consider it a work of art though, like the hurricane! Artwork I can smoke out of.

And of course, you have to pay for the name because the name is established. Obviously they are doing something right if people pay that much for their glass


I'd never buy a $500 ROOR straight tube though, fuck that.

If you want to spend the money on the roor ashcatcher, definitely do it. Hurricane/Roor hybrid fuckbaby bongs are lovely. I'm a roor whore, I'll pay for the name all day long. Yeah the ashcatcher is expensive but my buddies (pretty sure its the same exact one) is built beautifully. nice thick (pretty sure it double wall) glass. Definitely can withstand a beating.

Plus an ashcatcher extends the life of your bong, and for us lazy stoners you don't have to clean it as often. I'd say go for it. You already have a volcano, so theres nothing wrong with pimpin' the bong.

You could always save up and buy an illadelph! haha

Brandon the globe on the hurricane is an ash catcher. It doesn't filter though. I'm looking for extra filtration

Man, find someone that blows glass and befriend them. The names are all hype - I got a real nice beaker with diffused downstem and ashcatcher and they all have a match for like $200

I have decided I will wait a few weeks and sit on the money I have. In a few weeks I should have enough of a cushion to be able to drop $350 and still have enough for some herbs.

SOO I ordered it. Everything I listed above, along with some RAW rolling papers, and a little poker (I wanted the rasta one but oh well )

Not sure how long it will take. 7-10 business days + processing from EDIT. Shouldn't be longer than a few weeks.

I have a good feeling about this one too. When I ordered my hurricane it was sketchy, first the order didnt go through, then I called the bank and they said to try again and it should go through. So I tried again and it DIDNT SAY IT WENT THOUGH, then I got a confirmation email (???)


Ordering the ash catcher and stuff was easy peasy though. I got the message, 'details declined by bank' so I called the bank, waited 45 seconds for an agent, spoke to the agent who found my order in 2 seconds. Then I confirmed some stuff, and she told me to stay on the phone while I tried again, and RIGHT when I clicked submit I heard it say "okay it went through"... before I even saw Then after that, she just let me go. didnt try to sell me anything fuck yes! great banking experience

This bong should be pretty insane though, I'll stack two hurricane ash catchers on the roor ash catcher and snap a pic


The prices on EDIT were very misleading though, they said $370 but when you go and convert the money yourself with UP TO DATE info it turns out its not 370 but 404... Quite a difference.
