its been a while since I grew my own herb. tired of going to the dispensary.

after last run with 1200W of ac and 1200w of hid it shot my bill up over 150 a month with everything going on and it wasnt coo. I made mistakes and I decided to get grams of oil for 20 dollars at the store. so I am redeeming myself this run. dropped some cash on some new quantum pucks from @Growmau5 .
Running 8 of them at 96W a piece. with my platinum p600 which is a v powerful focused lensed 350W blurple, throwing it in for some added spectrum in the middle. the pucks are 3000k with deep red spectrum added.
just gonna tip my hat off to the guy. these things are fucking bright as hell. no shill.



I'm running a really cheap effective nutrient regiment that should last me a long time jack's classic 5-12-26 plus calcium nitrate and epsom salts. I have MKP and KP as well as jack's micro blend. will be running pure essentials root enhance, hydroguard in the dwc and ogbiowar in the coco.


I rebuilt my RDWC with 1.5 inch pvc connectors and uni seals. also attached a 27 gal tote as a reservoir. running 30 gallons overall with a top off res to keep the roots under water. Also built a drain to waste coco setup for 6 plants. I will be scrogging out the whole 9x6 area. shooting for 3 pounds. if shits not where I want it to be by a certain point I will get co2 and seal it off.

I'm popping beans on tuesday. I'll be putting the sour diesel in the 4 dwc buckets cause they like to stretch, I think they will yield good. and white cookies in the coco pots. I will be running perlite for extra drainage. I'm running #5 nursery pots so 3.75 gallons. need some drainage.

Crazy setup! Haha. Are you setup like mine? Gravity return and waterfall fed to each bucket? 2" pipe and uniseals for me. And I don't use any air stones or pumps anymore on this system. The waterfalls aerate the solution so much.

This one's my mini system. 2gal buckets for veg. Then they go into the bigger setup. This one's 1.5" pipe & uniseals.

Damn dude, props on the clean build! very similar lol. gravity return to the 30 gallon. I would be scared to run without stones. I see people do it more often with the UC systems now adays.

Depending on what I like I may do all dwc next run... we will see

There's no need for airstones. It's proven right there in the pics.

I hated coco. Against rdwc, you will too, but I guess you'll need to see it for yourself.

Got my exhaust dryer vent installed and sealed. lids made for my reservoirs. bubbling out chlorine for the seeds and tomorrow I'm germinating!

Ran extra extension cords from different breakers to spread the load. got lights on one by themselves basically taking 13-14 out of 15 amps spread over 2 16 awg cords and the other cord I ran under my house to the garage and is running a constant 6 amps with a 20 second extra 4 amp load from the coco feed pump. nothing is getting warm (now lol) and I believe in the durability of these construction extension cords lol. I do have a faulty plug I can replace in the front of my house to put the coco line on, but as long as nothing is getting warm I dont care about running the max amperage on 16awg for 20 secs every couple hours during the day during flower.

The thing I dont get is actually there is a fridge on the same line as my lights and its not tripping the gfi.

Soooo gorgeous looking! Wish I could be able to grow Hydro. Its soo hot and humid down south east coast. Will follow your and learn from it. Any tricks to keep your resevoir temps good so it doesnt grow mold or anything? My friend uses FFOF potting mix, but would love to yield more and get more grows in the year.

a chiller is required. runs a minimum of 270 bucks for a 1/10 hp one works for 4 buckets and a res. 67 degrees and I add hydroguard bacillus to colonize the rhizo so other bad bacteria dont grow.

Look into Dutch Bucket hydro. No air pump needed, no chiller, you can either hand water DTW, or recycle using a small reservoir and fountain pump on a timer.
