8" Air Cooled Reflectors for New Grow Room

Just ordered 4 of these bad boys for a new space = 8' x 22' long. Cant wait too see the light spread. Hoping if centered in the ceiling that the will reach both side effectively. Will be popping in a 1000w HPS on existing digital ballast

Anyone else had a chance to see or use these new hoods?

I really don't think those are gonna spread out 8' man. They are only 2 1/2' wide, if you are doing the air straight through them all in a row, or about 3' wide if you are gonna snake the air duct around. Even at 3' wide, the light spread is only gonna be about a foot and a half off each side tops, before you get the plants craning their tops over trying to get to the light.

You've got a good point.

I am using 4 hoods inline right now but they only need to cover a 5' wide spread.

Is there a way to install a light rail that would move the entire row of lights from right to left in an 8' wide space?

yes get a light mover, they are like 130$ and have 6ft of rail, and they sell extentions
