Well I am looking to do 24 plants at a time under two 600 lumatek ballast and two Hid hut bulbs. I am using two xtransun 42 parbolic hv refelctors. I am using black dirt and cow shit mix for dirt. I am also using cheap mircogrow and then bloom for the last stage. using some old seed and 5 gallon buckets with holes in the bottom I am average only one ounce a plant. question1. Are the hid hut bulbs good, they are what i am using. Should i try some fox farm mix, if so what kind? Dont want to invest alot. I also have mylar in the room for more light. I am now going to try some auto pounders i am going to recive soon, any info is greatly apprecated, like do I keep the lights on 18 or 16hrs all the time for auto flowers? I have a digital timer.

For a note I have used this out side the dirt and mircogrow and they do very well, I am just seeing if I should try something different inside. Thanks for all your input.

I have the buckets close togeather so I can get around the room. so say 5*8 area under light

black dirt and cow shit? come again? id recommend a good soil or soilless medium for starters. your room is really big for the amount of light your using. are you bringing in fresh air or are you using co2? to flower you need to have your lights 12/12. what are your temps? provide us with some more information and some pictures and we can better help

black dirt and cow shit mix good is a blessing and I have had trees outside huge!! anywhere from 8-13ft tall. northern lights and number one skunk. 12/12 even for auto flowers? I am not using no co2 at all, have thought about getting buckets of co2? I have a wall heater in the room for heat plus the lights, fans ect. I am using 5 gallon buckets spaced pretty close togeather, like a 5x8 are under two xtransun 42 parbolic hv refelctors, with refeleactive film. I am only trying to say the dirt mix works great outside and its free for me. sorry for the bold , cant get it off. Is my room still way to big for them amount of plants and space? Some edges have less like but still get light, with refelictive film and I am trying auto flowers to get threw the pace faster and turn over the process faster. Thanks again. temps are for a low in winter no lower than 68 and summer no higher than 83 say. average say 80. Is this co2 really worth it, have you or anyone not use it than try it and what was your out come?

i use co2 and it works very well. the thing about growing indoors is you either have to have co2 or a fresh air exchange so the plants can breathe. if you dont have either of these your buds will not get big no matter what you do. your room is to big for the co2 bucket. 2 600w should put out about a 4x8 space. so if your plants are in this size of space under the lights, guess it doesnt matter how big your room is, just kinda wastes a little light on the outside spaces.

i dont know much about do it yourself dirt but that mix doesnt sound like it will work because you have no perlite or anything to allow your roots to breathe. a bale of sunshine mix and some nutrients wont set you back too much and it will help your grow im sure. 75-80 degrees is optimal for growing, when the lights are off you want your temps about 10-15 degrees less. i dont know much about autos, so im not the guy to ask there. IMO , if you plan on growing multiple runs you should get some real good seeds, find the genetics you like and keep a mom so you can clone it whenever. this will save you alot of hassle and money in the long term.

so i am going to try some auto pounders in 5 gallon buckets with holes drilled at the bottom. My plants are under say a 5x8 lighted space room around 7 x 12. What can I do for co2. will the fox farm ocean dirt work good i want to try some. 24 plants under two 600 watt ballast xtransun 42 parbolic hv reflectors. I think I may try fox farm nuts or the mirico grow stuff and then try atomi bloom for the bloom period. Any input or things i should change are appreciated. can auto flowers be cloned i have a clone machine.

you cant clone an auto from what i know. for co2 you have to get a tank, a regulator, and a controller. an expensive purchase for sure but you will be happy with the results. foxfarm soil is good stuff but its a little pricey. you can sometimes work a deal if you buy a few bags at a time. im not a huge fan of foxfarm nutrients. im not going to try to push nutes on anyone, try what you want to try, my advise is to just start with a little and work your way up. feeding too much nutes will cause burn and lockout. if your using foxfarm soil there is quite a bit of nutes already in the soil so add like 1\8th- 1\4th strength nutes every 2nd or third watering to see how they like it. hope this helps

24 under 1200 total? you shooting for...1/4 a plant? If your not willing to invest any money your wasting your time.
I believe co2 is one of the best investments you can make.

I would question the amount of plants. Not that much light for the room and that many plants. I say twelve, max, would yield better.

just saying i only revived a once average before with some junk seed, no co2, and to many plants like 32. I will look into co2.Thanks for all the input
