I just identified a large out break of thrips including black spots on
plants they are at start of week 7 and i have never had thrips before.
i am thinking about using spinosad today but am also concerned about
killing every single one of these fuckers as i will be moving 40-50 new plants into the room in about 3 weeks any ideas! large room and gets dense.

If the thrip are thick, plan on using two or three different products. cycling the three product every two days for a week - 10 days will nock the fuckers down. Just like most critters though very hard to eliminate 100% without breaking down your room. If you have them now, plan on preventative measures for future grows...JAS

Im noticing thrips... are these organic? Ive just switched to organic and would like to keep it that way

  1. The pyrethrins are a pair of natural organic compounds normally derived from Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium that have potent insecticidal activity. Pyrethrins are neurotoxins that attack the nervous systems of all insects.Wikipedia

I have just run into them myself in my soil grow. All i had was sm 90 i didnt want to use it because its not organic. Hey it worked but i would have used spinosad if i had it. I used 5 ml per gallon because they were thick in the soil then two days later 3 ml per gallon also before i added it i checked to see if it worked i didnt see any so i added the 3 ml per gallon. Just this week so i let everyone know if i dont see anymore . Also i moped with bleach i didn't spary the plants waiting for spinosad to do that..hope this helps someone .
