600W HPS Room Ideas

Hi every1 I've been checking out the site awhile and finally registered and decided to post.

I was looking for some advice on a set up.

The room would be 4x4x8 for flowering only separate room for mothers and clones.

The light would be 600w HPS w/ the sealed reflector and 6" duct flanges. Lights will be cooled w/ a 250cfm 6" inline duct fan.

What would be the best grow method for a indoor newbie in this area for a nice yield. Was interested in maybe an aeroponics setup similar to this
https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/22362-30-minute-6-plant-aero.html
but w/ that set up i can prob only fit 2 rubbermaids in there
or
https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/18869-how-build-aero-setup.html
on a smaller scale for the space available.

Or a flood and drain set up or just str8 up soil.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Anything will work in there bud. Be kind of tight with 2 rubbermaid tubs, but if you can and do a DWC or something they'll grow good. I don't know your knowledge and experience with hydro, but if it's your first time I would probably do soil just to ensure a harvest. Unless of course you've done your reading and are ready to take the plunge. Good luck.

Good luck and merry christmas.

I think there is a flood and drain table that is exactly 4x4. I seen the guy at the hydro shop and I'm pretty sure that was the exact measurements. Hell if that's the case that will maximize the amount of plants you can fit in there.

They do and that would be perfect for you get a 4'x4' flood table and reservoir to match and youll beable to fit over 35 plants easy my 2'x2' table does i think 18 in 5 inch squar cups

4x4 flood table and a 20+/- resevoir, some rockwool and hydroton....a nice hydro pump, couple of air stones, some good nutes, ph meter, tds/ec meter. Your grow will be bank then.

Thanks for the opinions so far guys. So is every1 think the f&d is the best way to make the best use out of the space and light available. Do SOG and put as many plants as possible in.

personally i would start with soil,it is more forgiveing and easier to dial in for first timers.i tried a small flood and drain and its tricky, not like soil but im not the sharpest tool in the shead.

Depends on how long you want to wait. If clones are available...sog is probably the best way to go.
