600w hps or 2-4' 2light t-8s and cfls? please help +rep

hey ive been vegging under 2 2 light 4' t-8 and a bunch of cfls 6500k. i just got a 600 watt hps. witch would work better for veg? should i just keep useing the flouros till flower or will the hps work better . no money for mh convertion bulb. thanx guys.

Don't worry about the mh bulb, hps will work fine. Go ahead and use the 600, the plants will love it.

Agreed. Although it is the right color temp for vegging lumen output just cannot match the HPS.

if you have good ventilation go for the 600w hps, if not add a fan or a/c or something

the hps or mh is the best but as far as veg goes the floros provide a different spectrum i believe red and blue which is very helpful in veg. use em all together. i have a 400 a 600, 3 -100hps lamps and 6 or 8 t8 4 footer 2 tubes. they seem to thrive when they all work together.

I completely agree with jordi. I used to do a perpetual but have found that i get better results just putting my two 150 w hps, two t5 floros, and two full spectrum t12s all together for one larger faster crop
