60 day lemon - DNA Genetics

this is my first auto grow ... temps are good, been on 12/12 since day 1 and I think they look good BUT I am going to run out of space to lift my light soon!! They grow in to it daily!

I am putting pics here, would love feedback on how they look, if anything should be done and ideas on how damn tall these will get. They were started from seed exactly 30 days ago today (or there about).

12/12 is pointless with autos. Turn lights on 20 on 4 off for entire grow. You won't yield alot with 12/12 lighting.

If the plants get tall tie them down, autos can some SOME lsting. Just don't cut anything. And turn up those lights!!!! Nice job though

What lights are you using? You should run them on 24/0 or 18/6, you'd get more weight.

Very very cool. I have been wanting to see a journal of one of these. I love the idea of the 12/12 auto and am excited to try these in the bloom room. They look pretty darn good. Much much better than what I imagined they would. Looks like the potential to yield a lot more than I thought the plant would too.

I would still like to see someone grow it on their window sill without any light other than natural.

I am insulted! my setup is nice hahaha kidding. I went pretty cheap on my setup, it was like $500.00 for everything on Amazon. The light is a 450 Watt HPS with digital ballast with a cheap wing reflector. Running DWC setup, started with sprayers and now just air stones since the roots are in the mix. Cheap little tent box, small clip on fan to move air, bigger fan outside the box blowing cool air in and a 4 inch exhaust fan hooked up to a temp controller to blow air out when it hits 75 in the box. Also have a flame defender in there just to be safe.

They are not topped, it is 5 plants, started with 6 but one just didn't make it at all. I have been giving them nutes the last 2 weeks (i forget the kind but i will post it up tonight). As for the seeds, I took a trip to Amsterdam a month and a half ago and they were purchased fresh from the DNA Genetics store there.

I was a bit skeptical on them, they went for like 2.5 weeks without really going hard and then I looked in one day and BOOM they are HUGE. I feel like with their active growth the 60 days may be realistic but we will see. As for the 12/12 light cycle, yes it is what they said to do at DNA when I was there and I can't complain with the results so far ... bigger yields are great if you're going to sell, I am growing for person consumption so as long as I harvest enough to not have to buy more at the club until my next harvest I am happy ... Plus I just enjoy the hobby.

i bought the 600 from thunder six mo ago lol... same cheap brand..works great upgrade the bulb...so how tall are these things pic does not really show..i will have to say tho it is looking good man you got a lil stretch but nothing to worry about just make trimming easyer lol... bigger yeilds are always better tho selling or not... i got for quality taste visual appeal.. i figure in weight when im picking my strain... no point in trying to pull 2oz on a plant that is lucky to get 1 youll just kill it or nute it up so that it doesnt even taste like good herb

ok i c the fan in the backround i have an idea how tall they are never noticed that at first glance yeah man your doing ok.. right on par with me actually.. lil more stretch but id have to say good job seeming as i deff didnt cheap out on my room i even run co2.. with horilux bulb... 600watt your only running four .... that dwc makes a big difference in these autos...

dang they dont look that tall.. but hell alright.. You should get good smoke dna is pretty renound for their strains and product.. Just dont buy into their advertisment... every breeder has the "superior product" lol good luck man ill keep watching..

I flushed the tank on Monday and here we are Friday and these girls have swallowed about 3 of the 5 gallons of water I just put in monday!! I am sure some is evap as well but damn these things are thirsty! I am going to flush again this weekend and I will try and get some root pics for you guys then. The roots have greenish gunk on them, before anyone gets over excited about it when you see the pics, its the nutes. I am not going to add nutes to the next 2 flushes i dont think and then i will start bloom nutes. The nutes being used are Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow and Pure Blend Pro Bloom (bloom not used yet).

Since you brought it up, I have never dealt with it ... What causes a plant to hermie? Assuming it did, I could toss it outside to finish and have some more auto seeds correct?

exactly you deffinately could.. Not always a bad thing if you wanna make some auto seeds if not and its only a little or just a couple buds you can always just cut them off.. you dont want any male flowers so you have to check thouroghly ... Anything can cause autos to hermie any kind of stress or transplanting...lst, topping, cropping.. dont just toss it tho if your not sure watch it... its safe till the flowers open up.... then its trouble.. youll notice they look like balls... if in doubt about it just look for a hair its the bud pod without hair comming out of it sometimes its not always a ball the flowers can be many shapes..

did a flush and i got some new pics, will try to upload them tomorrow. I can say they seem to be holding steady on where they are as far as getting taller since I did not add nutes this time. When should I dose em with flower nutes? I was thinking like the first week of November then flush them for a week then harvest.
