This is my second grow journal on rollitup. My first grow from bagseed was sabotaged my my own stupidity in trying to use a 1000 watt hps in a small closet with bad ventilation and a weak AC. The conditions required me to water every day and one day I couldn't be home in time so they shriveled up into little crispy nothingness. During this grow I ordered some seeds from Nirvana - Blue Mystic and Aurora Indica. Discouraged by my incredible failure, those seeds have remained dormant... until now.
Faced with a similar space restriction this time around, I am going with 100 watt MH for veg left over from the previous grow and CFL for flowering. I will be picking up the CFL's, grow tent and carbon filter in the near future. I'm thinking 4 x 105 watt CFL should do for now. I will be keeping the plants in a closet next to my desk so I can use the same AC to keep myself and the plants cool and plenty of co2 from me.
I attempted to germinate several seeds before these which did not take. Old bagseed. With these I soaked 5 BM seeds in filtered water for 24 hours then placed them in paper towels. 2 sprouted within 2 days, but it was 2 more days before I was able to get some Fox Farm Ocean Forest and in that time one of those sprouts died. I planted the 1 surviving one yesterday and today it has broken into the light. I'm keeping some hope that the other 3 seeds will sprout but just in case i started soaking 3 Aurora Indica in water with a little Ocean Forest and peroxide. Hopefully this improves me germ rate.
