6 weeks in, lower leaves getting yellowish

I've been growing my plant for a few weeks and the past few days the lower leaves have been getting yellow. One of them was originally curved up, but hasnt since. I had a feeling this might be because water/nutes were sprayed on the leaves and it might be light burn, but the bottom leaves continue to die. The leaves that were sprayed have a few yellow spots but look great. As you can see in the picture. I use peat moss soil, miracle grow nutes, and the soil isnt dry at all.

How far shoulds light be from a plant at this stage? I was told the 12/12 method is best but after reading today it seems most people do 18/6.

Quick help or a link to the appropiate page would be nice.

What light you using? The nodes look quite far apart. Also nutes may be bit too soon and strong. Also 12/12 is flowering stage 18/6 for veg. Most people veg for a bit first.

I'm willing to bet your PH is way off because of that peat moss. If the PH is around 6, your plants require more nitrogen.

Yeah get them on at least 18/6 and get rid of that foil! Foil creates hot spots and can burn your plant. Also want to know what light you are using. Is if CFL, HID or something else. What is the light spectrum? MH? HPS? Need more info brotha

The foil is now gone! Here's a pic of the bulb im using. I'm not familiar with light terms at all. At what point should i switch to the 12/12 schedule?

Ive also attached another picture of the pant so you can see the color. The top leaves are really green. I noticed those first two pics made the plant look a tad bit to yellow. Thanks for any help.

Do yourself a favor and spend the 25.00 bucks on a grow book. At most 35.00 and you'll know alot more. In the begining is the hardest time, but when you find a style that works you'LL be happy with consistant results.

That bulb is a 26 watt soft white 10000 kelvin. That light is suited for reading at best. The wattage is fine, but I would get a 6500 kelvin bulb for vegging, make it two bulbs with a "Y" connector, for much better results.
