5x5 LED - T-Time grow time

I'm feeding them 5g/5L + 1g/5L of Epsom already. I've noticed they're gating pale for a while but didn't want to over do it. Its my first start with Megacrop and I rather give them less then burn them. I gave them too much cal-mag second last feeding and burned them slightly, backed off and I'll be increasing the dosage slowly.
Making my notes for the next round to dial it in.

I know You are in Tupur so its different but when You were in coco before did You precharge coco with nutes ?
Try 600 ppm range.......

Possibly keeping them too moist?
Coco can grow some great plants but I got sick of the shaky starts myself (coco or soil for that matter) and retreated back to hydro :hump:

All I can say if u dang good for a beginner I’m a beginner as well and u did a very nice job ...
Thanks mate, I was happy with the last run. Sometimes it just clicks into place. I had so many bad runs before that the statistics are still very bad :P

Maybe a bit. Its my first coco start in a while but I liked the simplicity of starting in Light Mix. Worked every time, no burns, no other problems....

What's the EC?

Tried it. Went higher then that
What's the EC?
As it stands that mix had EC 1.45 , thats a friggen 1020ppm (0.7 conversion). I thought its a mistake but I went to get a new calibration fluid just to be sure. I flower with that strong nutrition! Thats after adjusting PH, but it was only 3 drops (literally!) Of PH Down.
I was always curious about it, do you measure TDS/EC before or after adjusting PH ??
Can those young plants be really that hungry ?
It's nealy 28K-30K LUX measured just above their heads.

On the other note, two new upgrades to the big tent :)
First will bring the temps to more cannabis friendly ~28-30*C (hopefully). Its a new TD silent 500/150. Sounds the same as my "old" TD Silent , but it's a 3speed version and my old one was 2speed. It goes both, a bit slower and faster then my old one does . Small change, but I'm sure ladies will enjoy the extra warmth :)

And as for the second upgrade, I've got custom maid drainage, which will give my ladies extra 10cm (4") to grow upwards :bigjoint:

Lots of stuff going on in the tent.

New drainage system gave a bit more of headroom so I will be able to install new air cilculation system when its done.

I re-did the controll box and moved it out of the cameras way. Lights are now controlled by only one LCD display by one dial. Themostat controlling motorized air damper fitted there as well. Decided to skip Hygrostat in the big tent. Will install it later in the veg tent as I plan to do a small controll box for it for the next run.

Plants when repotted had huge root mass but only small green mass above the surface. Hopefully now they will shoot up like a space X rocket :)
1x Skunk XL on the top left shelf.
9x Critical+ 2.0 (managed to save the slow one)

I always flush and pre-charge with nutrient. Most of the name brand cocos - Canna etc - are pre-buffered with calmag but don't usually contain any other nutrient, apart from traces of phosphorous if they are pH set, and some residual sea salt.

If I start seedlings or clones in coco, first thing I do is water the coco with a weak nutrient solution until I have some runoff, then I usually don't water again until the pots have dried out a little. This encourages root growth, but also the nutrient concentration slowly rises as the coco dries out.

I do tend to underfeed in the early stages to avoid the risk of burning seedlings when they're most vulnerable, but I've also been surprised by how much the plants like to feed under LED - more than I've been used to under HIDs. In fact, I've been caught off guard a couple of times now by seedlings that have outgrown my feeding regime and started to yellow.

I don't use an EC meter, but always test after you've adjusted for pH, as phosphoric acid (pH Down) or potassium hydroxide (pH Up) will add to the total reading.

Its easier to track it by ppm or ec for me. I'm using 8g/5L of MegaCrop + 2g of epsom. I have 5L water containers and thats how I track what I put in the system, making notes so I would be able to replicate or adjust the next grow.

Why use the Australian conversion rate though? This is a US based forum where people are used to 500ppm = 1EC.
