My friend asking questions as he don't believe vids n pics I show him.
I see most seem to hit 1-1.9 gpw experience depending off
I'm an experienced grower in coco adv nutes pH line. Normal is 4x600hps=1800-2000gram so like 0.7-8pw hps (8-10 30l airpots each getin 7--10 oz each unless I do less numbers n trees I can get some monster yielders) kinda only way I can share my experience level
My friend is my loan lol so I need to prove him to get funds lol I could end up making a 32 cob I hope
But the question is of what I currently could afford myself

if i made a 200-250w pannel using 5cxb 3590 with hlg-240-1400b or 4 cxb on hlg-185-1400b

1, which is best combination and why?
2, am i safe to say under 200watts, im going to hit around 200grams or more?

How much space are you lighting and are the genetics your running known to you?

600 too 800 gives me 800 to 1000 g running a mix of 6 varieties. I grow in soil and leggy sativa hybrids and I do no ph check, runnoff checks etc. I can see a sharp grower easily do this.

Ok, but is the area you want to run the 200-250 watt unit a 2.5 x 2.5 or a 3 x 3?

Depends a lot on the genetics. Depends on how you grow -scrog, LST, trees, etc. Depends on what you grow in -soil, hempy buckets, DWC, aeroponics….lots of things to consider in regards to yield besides the light.

Personally, I think there have been some misconceptions put out there in regards to how much yield the light will give. Most of the yield reports come from super-experienced growers who have all their stuff dialed in. A lesser-experienced grower will not get the same yield-results as a veteran, experienced grower in most cases.

8foot by 4 foot area space is what i grow in (1.2x2.4m tent)

genetic wise, i am very picky yeah and research my strains i know and ones i dont i know the bank, and parent genes, so yeah my strains i pick this roudn are all heavy yeilders, few indica few sativa dom,

i plan to have a good 6-7week veg time on them(seed always 2weeks to stable and 4 weeks growth tiem after)

Make sure there is even coverage across the entire canopy with 1600 Watts will make 1600 to 2400 g depending on strain

I use 3 speed 6inch max fan and control my temps during lights on with variable speed and use a 68degree set heater for lights out.Its fairly easy to control temps with LED and 1gpw is fairly easy if your exp wih runnin coco

My heart was in urdwc I designed a system with a team of growers and one of us patented n sold the system for a small fortune n ran lol
Made a number of systems since but coco the past year or so just happened when testing airports out for an experiment found similar results and sofas dialed it in amazingly. I will return urdwc just need to find the patience for my diy
I. Focusing on lighting ATM gona build some sexy panels and tune it in before I change back to water fully I like moving coco around easyer its an awesome and easy passive hydro normally end up 4-5l a day per plant drinking dry each time but its great

From my research growers that consistently pull .7-.8gpw w/HPs will easily pass 1GPw with a quality cob.
I am not that grower yet, but hope to be.
