50w bulb?newb need answers!

ok i just got a new baby outta the ground and im wondering if a 50w bulb will do the job? i live in floridia and its started to get cold so i need to know soon. my plant just sprouted and its already 3 inches in less the 2 days(thats from outside growing)
 
start with floros. incadescents are about useless, but floros are just as cheap and save money to use.
if you start with one floro, as the plant grows youll want to do all you can to make it grow faster/stronger. then youll start to buy more cfls (compact floros) until you have a thick healthy plant.
eventually flowering will be your new concern and i just picked up 400w hps for that, but that is where my experience ends.

When using floros keep in mind the center of the bulb's length is where the most light is, the 6" at each end is usually worthless. Surrounding the plant with vertical floros works for single plants
 
if thats the only lite you have it mite be ok. but make the choise grow outside,or inside 18/6. how warm is it were you are. but yes what they said flos are the best to start.
but if your plant is doing fine why not just leave it.
or are the days getting to short?. id get it under 18/6 or 24/0.
 
its the only light i have. please dont say anything but im only 16 years of age and living with my parents its hard to grow in my room. what it be alright if i used to 50w bulbs? i got them from my walmart and they are "soft lights,double life"
 
aint gonna cut it homie. arent you too young to be growing? geez, kids these days. just kidding, but seriously, probably shouldnt be doing it as a minor living in your parents house. if you accidentally light the house on fire it would be a shame for the cops to find out it started in your small grow operation and the insurance company say sorry 16 yr old kids parents, it was your own fault, no soup for you.

LMAO....oooo man....funny shit..."dude"...your parents are going to smell it...especially when it goes into bloom...not a very wise decision. Respect your parents house, it's not yours.
 
well, to respect your parents.... No a 50W bulb will not cut it... Expessally for flowering... Youre going to have to do better then that.
