5/1 Veg light cycle...

Ok then, I guess I dive right in. On my next grow I would like to conduct an experiment. I would like to give a room full of various autoflowering strains, whose growing characteristics I have documented in my notes from previous grows, and give them a five hour light, one hour darkness cycle. The purpose of this would be to attempt to fool the plants into completing one days grow cycle in only six hours. Perhaps a 5/1 light cycle is too extreme, what about an 11/1 cycle? As it stands, any of my notions of what may result are pure speculation but surely somebody has attempted something like this, I cant possibly be the first one.

That being said, I cant wait to start. I still have at least five weeks left on my current grow, but the anticipation is building to say the least. The ultimate Photosynthetic Acceleration Chamber is coming together a little more every day. What are your thoughts? Any early predictions?

it all depends on the strain of plant and the single plant it self, as i have seen other are far more resilient and can grow like a weed other can slow boat it.

They actually do that type of things with chickens so they produce more eggs. And my buddy wondered the same thing with growing but It wouldn't be a good experiment with auto flowers since they don't care what the light cycle is and flower upon age. Auto flowers sound kool and everything but auto flowers are made by breeding 2 plants of one good strain and the other parent is a ruderalis strain (species of marijuana found in Europe that has no THC that auto flowers upon age and not photo period). Neat idea, impractical species for many reasons. Its about the same thing as breeding a hemp rope plant with a top notch strain resulting in immediate decrease of THC production which was achieved through decades if not century's of botany. The best way to describe an auto flower is If you took a human and a baboon and breeding them. Yes the offspring would be Strong but half retarded. lol But my hat is off for the neat idea of experiment, we wouldn't be here talking today without them.
