4'x4' 1200w Mars Hydro II - My First Grow Log

Hi all,

I wanted to share my first grow and first grow log ever. I don't even know where to start.

I purchased seeds from Attitude Seedbank and got a pack of Mr Nice Black Widow and Serious Seeds AK47. This was before I learned about the OES, JBC, GLG, etc..

The first set of seeds I popped all died and withered because it was my first attempt at using seedling trays and did not realize how insanely fast they can dry out and kill your poor seedlings.
Thus, I have start popping my seeds one at a time until I got the hang of it and now I prefer the overnight soak (w/ food grade H202, maybe a couple drops or two) and drop into solo cup filled with roots organics.
I will be using super soil once I start flowering, using straight roots and AACT every third water.

I have not started taking pictures of my ladies until recently.
Also, I plan to purchase some 5 CXB3590s and HLG-240H-C1400(A or B?) to fill in the lack of lighting around the edges.

Inside my grow tent.

dsc_1073, dsc_1074, and dsc_1075 are the closeup pictures of the one black widow, it's a regular so I do not know it's sex yet. It has the fattest leaves of all my plants and looks very indica dominant when leafly states that black widow is supposed to be a sativa oriented hybrid.

It's been a while since I've updated last. I installed the led ballast with the cobs and I slowly adjusted the light cycle from 16/8 to 12/12 over the course of a week Sept. 9-14. I guess this technically makes them on their 6th week of flowering. I'm probably going to harvest on the 8th week although I'd prefer to harvest on the 9th week or so.

Remaining survivors: Phantom kush (bottom left and all the pics of her outdoors), serious happiness (bottom right) auto lemon haze (top left) ak47 (top right)

Serious Happiness was one the fastest and healthiest vegging plant but she suffered the greatest during the last transplant from 3gal to 7gal pot. A huge chunk of her root separated from the rest of the root mass because I failed to water the root mass completely and a small portion of it was still dry. Took nearly 2 weeks to recover, I kept her in an illuminated spot in the basement. Hoping she will produce good buds still.

Could any veteran growers comment on how my plants are doing? I feed them AACT every week and have stopped recently, only water until harvest, no flushing.

Looking good.

Your COBS are your BEST lights, however they are placed in very inefficient locations.....

You need to reposition them so they are in an array and not stand alone COBS.

This is the dream.. I'm planning on saving up for a 5x5 or a 8x4 grow tent and getting more COBs. I'm trying to figure out how I want to set up my heatsinks and what to house them in. I'm on a tight budget so I'm trying to be resourceful. I may go on craigslist and start looking for junk metal so i can start building decent housing for my lights.
