Welcome Loonquawl, decisions like these are made by the other contestants so does anyone have a problem if Loonquawl runs 13/11 light cycle from start to finish.

I don't have a problem.

@ loonquawl I think it depends on strain. I was doing 13/11. But my NLxOG didn't take to it very well. I switched back to 12/12 yesterday.

Since this is my first time, I've naturally got a few Q's.

Do we start germinating after Feb 1, when reg closes?

What is the goal...biggest flower? biggest plant? highest dry weight? or is there a set of characteristics that these are judged by?

12/12 only... Just like 16oz cups, not 18oz cups.. Gonna have to call some peeps out on the cup size..

Just my opinion..

It's all good. My room runs 13/11 so I will just play along and not be part of the competition.
I will be lucky to keep her alive anyway. I don't grow with nutrients so learning how to feed her is gonna be fun.

Happy New Year. Hope it finds you all well.

I don't know If I will be a part of this one- but the opp @ an IG is worth working your hands in some soil.

i do not personally think 13/11 is enough of a difference to write home about- with pfr (730nm) you are STILL flowering from seed, no veg time either wayThe only advantages is the week difference in harvest and MAYBE a kick in yield, but enough to be a game changer? Naw.. The comp isn't judged by JUST yield, there are other ways you can win votes,

I have x12 730nm's and drivers en route and I plan on using them asap. I have even debated trying to see if I can get things to flower on 13/11 w/OUT the pfr with how many pistils I have been getting w/ an extra 4 hours darkness after foliar spraying.

somone using 13/11 could have the worst run out of them all, and still get votes just because they implemented pfr, and so few ppl do.

Being a "Any indoor other source," I think 730 emitters pass,

as for 18oz cups- maybe Jim Jim should measure the dimensions with a tape measurer or random household object we'd all have and we can measure every other update.

edit::::::: and I do think it should be a rule- for Sportsmanship- to NOT vote for yourself,
