4th dying clone. Help!

Hey everyone,

I'm in need of some help. I'm on my 4th clone now. They all keep withering away and die . I took this latest one from my mother (which is really healthy) but the clones keep dying. Here's the steps I do.

PH rockwool cubes to 5.5
Cut at 90 degrees
Use clonex
Put in humidity dome under a t5 approx 2ft sway.
Trimmed the leaves n half
Air out twice a day for 10min

At first I was spraying them with water but that looked like it was drowning them. Now I Havnt sprayed them. And 3 days later it's bent over now. They are in a humidity dome within a grow tent. Temps in the tent are usually 79/48. Here's a pic of the latest clone day 4 since snipped. Any help would be great!

I don't claim to be a clone master or anything, but I've had success with simply taking clones and placing them into soil that has been soaked/allowed to drain, and then keeping the soil moist while it's under 24 hours of light. Sometimes I will let a few drops get onto the leaves so that the plant isn't dying of thirst - you want to force the plant to grow roots to uptake water.

No domes, humidity around 30%....clones aren't as complicated as people make them out to be.

+1 for the no dome.. Mine use to die back in the day from leaving then under the dome for a few days..

move light closer. About 1 inch from dome. T5 is linear (inverse square law) So the further away the light the slower growth. T5's must be within 4 inches of canopy at all times for optimal growth.

cut the leaves. So the cutting will put more energy into growing roots and not.leaves.

spray every 3 days with a kelp / aloe foliar

don't take dome off at all for first 2 days. Then each day take off starting at 10 min and gradually moving up to 30 min.

do not use rockwool. Use rapid rooters placed in square inserts. Or stick cutting directly in soil.

use fresh aloe Vera for cloning gel instead. Much better and faster results and its free. Roots in 5-7 days. Pull aloe leaf set in a cup and let sap drain for a couple hours. Snip the tip of the aloe leaf. Dip cutting in the leaf like you would with clonex.

I have 100% every time. I don't use domes. I stick cuttings directly in party cups of soil and place a Ziploc bag over cups. I just don't like how flimsy trays and domes are. I've had many spills with those plastic trays..
