JW is 41% humidity ok ? I bought this electric thermometer and I think its messed up or something, the temp changes all the time and has sudden drops it will say it 77 then will jump to 82 f, weird.
Mildly humid (40-60%) is the ideal. Too little humidity and the plants dry out quick and require more watering and result in thinner and narrow leaves (in an attempt to prevent water loss). But these problems seem better than too much humidity cause then you're looking at a whole slew of problems: mold being the biggest issue but bugs/pests are another issue with high humidity.
so it sounds like 41% is just about perfect. on the low-end of the humidity scale - which is where I think you want to be. Note that seedlings need a higher humidity for optimal health.
I think ventilation is the key to maintaining proper humidity levels.
my humidity stays around 30 and the highest ive seen it is 40%...I cant get it any higher unless i go purchase a humidifier which i dont want to have to do...this is my first grow if it turns out bad then ill get one.
but for now things are fine my plants look healthy and have been at this humidity since i put them in there as clones so you shouldnt have a problem.
