Hello there, I just got a 400w Mh/Hps and was wondering if I ran it through veg and flower will that make a big increase in my electric bill and will it get hot during veg cycle and will it be safe for a 4ft by 5ft area with black and white poly around the grow area ? Thanks

no you will not have a big spike at all. im running the same light in a 4ft by 4ft tent with no problem and only put my bill up about $30 a month. make sure you have good ventilation

Ventilation is key. Especially growing in a closed in area.

Cool guys thanks I'm sure that will be better then what I go on them now a 40w full spectrum 2 4ft tubes but they just don't seem to be making any changes it's been about a week from seedling

You will not really notice the increase. I run 2 600w hps and 200 w of CFL and notice 20ish dolllar increase per month

Just remember to turn off lights etc. when not using. Just smart even when your not growing
