Boneman Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2009 #2 I used mine in a 4x3 area and it worked fine. Generally speaking most people will tell you a 400w is good for a 3x3. Depending on the strain you are growing will determine the amount of plants it will sustain.

J JonKollar Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2009 #3 i use a 400w mh in 2.5x2.5 x8ft for max lumens= tight nugs. but 3 or 4ft square is good!!
