400w MH and HPS bulbs

I'm looking for some new bulbs and not having much luck searching here for recs. Plus products come in and out of the market.

I have a lumatek digital ballast and from what I've read the hortilux have some issues with that. Looking at these agromax on htg, but can't get much info on them other than I have seen some posts on duds.

Basially, I am looking for a MH (bluer not standard) and a HPS ..preferrably enhanced spectrum both in 400w. What's everyone rockin?

I recently purchased a lumatek HPS which came highly recommended and it seems to be working well. I've also heard good things about the 6400k sunpulse MH.

i've seen the lumateks...seems somewhat logical...not familiar with the sunpulse. They look nice..pricey as well

They are both kinda pricey compared to the cheap generics but both claim to have a higher % of PAR light output as well as engineered for the higher frequencies of digital ballasts. My local hydro store guaranteed the lumatek bulb for a year so I assume they have some trust in it.

Having a tough time finding that sunpulse online. I may have to get off my ass.
Any other suggestions people?

anyone looked at CMH bulbs? I dont thinkt hey will run on a lumatek digital ballast though

think those are for magnetic only

That store is legit and the people very nice but you can probably find it for cheaper at a local hydro store (if you have local hydro stores). Only a $10 difference between 400w, 600w, and 1000w is kinda nutty.

I ran an older hortilux bulb for over a year on a digital ballast with no problems. Still have it and still run it now and then and still haven't had any problems with it. I too have heard of Lumateks busting hortilux bulbs but I don't think it is all that often.

Decisions! I hate to blow out a $130bulb and risk light cycles, fire and everything else.
