400W hps closet. need some advice SOG AND SCROG 'ERS!

Ditched trying to fix the closet with cfls. turns out its just going to be a waste of time for me so coming at the end of sept im going to purchase myself a 400w cooltube HPS. My closet is 7.5'L X 2'W X 8.5'H im only using about 6' of its height the other 2' is storage (nutes,soil, pots, all that stuff). What i need advice on is with that space and the 400W hps should i keep a Mother and try a SOG? (its not exactly a sog since i will only have about 8 or so plants in at a time but will be going from rooted clone to flower) If i do this method id be shooting for harvesting 2 plants every 2-3 weeks. Ill try to explain my thoughts, ill have 2 plants 0-2 weeks, 2 plants 4-6 weeks, 2 plants 6-8 weeks, and 2 plants 8-10 weeks if needed. ORR should i just ditch the mother and setup a perpetual garden with clones vegging for 2-4 weeks and have 8 Flowering in different stages like above (still shooting for harvest every 2-3 weeks) and SCRoG. only problems i can think of with scrog is i would have to have 2 plants per screen that way it would be practical to harvest every 2-3 weeks.

YOUR THOUGHTS?! my experience, i have only grown with cfls and i havnt tried the harvest every 2-3 weeks. ive only gone perpetual with 2 plants in veg and 2 in flower at a time due to space.

Sorry i got mixed up, for SCROG i would have 4 plants instead of 8 so instead of 2 plants harvest per 2-3 weeks it would just be 1 plant.. ALTHOUGH im not sure since ive never had exp with hps.

If you are going to be keeping a mother and cuttings you need to keep her light locked away from the flowering plants since they will have different light cycles.

If you partition off the closet in half you can keep one side for veg/mom and the other for flowering a SCROG/SOG using two seperate light cycles, just be sure you have proper airflow through the closet to pull that heat out. A 400watt HPS will bake a closet that small without proper ventilation.

You can setup the veg/mom side with CFL's, you'll just need several of them mounted around and make them easily adjustable for height

make sure u can fit it in there my cooltube is a tight fit and i have a 450 mm wide area

I already have a veg area (tent 3'x3'x3') in a different place with no light leaks into the closet. I Have 2 two week old already growing since I was planning on a different setup. And as for ventilation, for a cooltube I already have a rigd shop fan that's rigd with 6" ducting. I'm planning on attaching the fan on the ceiling (that's where it will get its air from) go thru ducting, light, ducting, attic, carbon filter. I also have a 250cfm already as exhaust for the room I was planning on using that for intake since the shop fan would be about 450cfm(there's 3 diff levels of power for the shop vac) so ventilation won't be a problem with a cooltube. And as far as the cooltube fitting it will have no problem I've already measured out where it will go ect.

Now as far as what method I should go with I need some advice. Take note that i m not really concerned about a huge yield but with the 400 I will have nicer denser buds than cfls anyway so I'm happy. So what do y'all think should I scrog 4 or sog 8 clones straight to 12/12 take in mind that I'm still going for the harvest every 2-3 weeks. BTW, getting the hps sept 24th (14 days) and I'm going to be taking clones of the 2 already vegging to sex them in about a week n a half just so you know my situation. I can post pictures so you can see as well just ask.

eh, sorry im a bad explain 'er. im not worried about ventilation because that is why im getting the cooltube. what im trying to ask is what would be the most effective way to harvest every 2-3 weeks easily with maximum yields though again im not trying to get HUGE yields just effective yields. what im shooting for as far as yield is 2-3 oz every 2-3 weeks.

if you grow 2-3 oz every 2-3 weeks with 1 400watt light, I want to know EVERYTHING you are doing! It sound way too optimistic to me...

lol no sorry, it was suppose to be 1-2 oz every 2-3 weeks. that is just an estimate if i were to scrog and i dont expect to yield 2 oz off 1 plant (i wish). SOG i would believe around the same shooting for 20 grams per plant from clone to 12/12. with 350w of cfls i had 2, vegd for 4 weeks and pulled 42 grams dry. so i think with the hps somewhere between 1-2 oz is a good goal to shoot for. and even that is optimistic to me! but that is why i made this thread is because i have no exp in scrog or sog. im just basing this off things i have read up on.

i'm not good at explaining things, ive said it before and ill say it again. ill be thinking clearly and it will make sense but then i try to explain it and its just all over the place. which is why you see me post 2 times at a time because ill re-read it and be like what?! but i like this edit button lol and smoking doesnt help at all! :/
