400mh OK for seedlings???

hey, just wondering if my 400mh at 2ft away will be ok for my seedlings for a couple days? maybe its too intense, idk... but at that distance above, the light shouldnt be giving off that many lumens.

If it was me I would go further than two feet, but that's just me.

its ok as long as the heat doesn't reach the seedling your fine. But i'd prefer putting it under flouro till 2 set of leaves come out first, cus you can put the flouror close to your plant thus least stretching.

ya i decided to go get some flouro's (2) 2x 4' is wut i decided on. Wut are the best bulbs to use? I currently have one plant & aqua bulb, 2 cool white, and one daylight bulb.

cus you can put the flouror close to your plant thus least stretching.

the flouro's are about 8 inches away from the sprouts now...hopefully i stopped the stretching before it was too late

Stretching sucks but you should be OK, when you do your first transplant bury the stem a little deeper

im settin them up in DWC in 3 1/2" pots i have lots of head room so im not too worried

YAY!!!! all 14 have sprouted now and have ample roots (i think) to go into the bubbler.


How long should i wait till i put them in??? i thinks they's ready...
roots about 1" and fuzzy on at least half...
