ok so I have been veging my mainlined critical senssi star under 400 watt vipar LED panel in a 2x4x5 tent, my question is ( since this is my first LED grow ) is 400w of led suitable to flower her? the panel is supposed to cover both spectrums with the 133 3w leds . any help would be greatML1.JPGML2.JPG

If that is the only plant you are flowering in that space, under that light, it should kick some ass for you. Based on what I have been reading a 400W LED should cover a max 3X3 area for flowering plants. Hopefully I will be able to test the effectiveness of a 400W in my 2x2 soon.

Though, upon checking out Vipar website they recommend 4X4 coverage with the 400W, which is pushing it a bit IMO.

Plant is looking good. Good luck, have fun.

thanks mike. ya I thought 4x4 was a bit much too, yes that is the only plant in the tent. so another question I have is how far should I keep the panel from the canopy ? does the distance very between veg and flower? I think after a good stretch I will only have 12" to 16" ?????

50watts per square foot of canopy for prime results and 40watts per square foot of canopy for decent results. hope that helps

thanks santa, ya that means im over dubble the prime w x sq. this is obviously my first led grow, I havnt tried sooner couse it has been one of those " too easy to believe " things,,,,,i mean im used to spending lots of money to cool hoods and the room, this run is LED and super soil so WAY easier and so far the results are great all across the board thanks for all the help and I will keep the updates comming
