I have seen 400 watt mogul base lights at home depot and lowes but when searching their web site, I dont get any results for mogul base sockets?? Anyone know if they have these? I thought that I saw someone post that they bought a cone shaped reflector and a socket there? I just dont want to waste a trip if they dont even have what I need...I see mogul sockets on Ebay for like 8 bucks...seems if Lowes sells the bulbs, they would sell the sockets as well? Let me know! My babies are ready to go to 12/12 but I want to have HPS in place before changing the cycle. Let me know guys!

I never can find everything i need when i go to home depot, i don't shop at lowes and one isnt close to me.

I set my 12/12 cycle for my babies right after i ordered my hps, they had not even sexed until the hps came.

You may not want my advice but here goes(i dont know how many plants you have or what area you are lighting so im just giving it a shjot in the dark that you need a 400w hps)

This is the cheapest i think you will find with it's results.
High Tech Garden Supply

you can find the same one by them on ebay for 10 bucks cheaper. my advice is order it, set 12/12 now, and hook it up when it arrives. or wait if you want. up to you.

edit: sorry forgot to mention im almost sure lowes and home depot dont sell hps for horticulture and you really want one designed for it.

Hey thanks for the lightning fast response! Guess I should have clarified...I currently have 11 babies growing shooting for 50/50 odds on gurls. Each about 8" tall now with at least 6 sets of nodes. Growing area is about 5 ft X 3 ft X 9ft tall. Will only harvest say 4 of the girls and grow room is negotiable up to 5X10X9. I am currently using 2 48" ecolux plant tubes. Says for flowering plants but everything I read on here says no flouros for good buds and lets face it....whats the point with out monster buds? lol

Yeah definitly, that 400w will do 4 plants, if you end up trying to flowerl ike 8 fems tho i might go to a 600w, if you got the money try that light, if you got more money they have better lights and they are all worth the cost, but that hps i think should eb the minimum you should get.

Forgot to mention, not sure if you know or not, your plants will double to triple in size during flowering, with a 9ft tall space you have plenty of room though. just something to think about. since they are only 8" i guess you could wait until you got the hps to set 12/12, 12 inches is good to flower on.
